What an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Born. The decor was stunning and given it used to be a palace it was very grand and swish inside. Breakfast was fantastic a self service buffet where you can eat it in the wonderful courtyard garden. Central location. Just fantastic all round.

Beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Palma Staff in the hotel and restaurant were wonderful. Recommend you eat in the courtyard restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. The only downside for me was the small double bed.

Great place to stay in Mallorca

The Born is excellent. The staff was very attentive. Pilar was great at check and Carlos made breakfast quite a pleasure with two minute Spanish lessons. The hotel is a palace from the 16th century that has been meticulously renovated. There are no elevators so this may be an issue for some, but if not an issue definitely need to stay here when in Mallorca it is close to everything. Just a wonderful stay.

If you’re looking to stay in Palma and want a beautiful hotel in a prime location to reach all the sights, then I would fully recommend Hotel Born! We could not have asked for a better hotel to be honest. It was clean, had friendly staff and was so close to the main shopping district where there were loads of places to choose to eat from. And when we wanted something a bit less touristy, we were able to walk less than 15 mins to other parts of the town.

Perfect stay in the middle of Palma. No elevator so you have to be prepared to take the stairs. Great breakfast. Lacking a bit of space to put out clothing for longer stays. Overall conclusion very good.

Beautiful historic palace converted into this fantastic hotel. All staff (including the cleaning staff) couldn't be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location in Palma Old Town. Amazing breakfast and fine dining in the evening if required. Our second time at this hotel and won't be out last. A great treasure in Palma.

From the moment we arrived the service was wonderful. Unfortunately, I didnt get the name of the man who checked us in, but upon hearing it was my husband's birthday, he arrived at our room 5 minutes later with a bottle of cava and 2 glasses, a lovely touch and much appreciated. Beautifil room in a beautiful setting. Great location for shopping and restaurants, everything walkable. The courtyard where the bar is situated is a beautiful setting for pre dinner drinks. We had a truly wonderful stay and will definitely be returning.

I’ve been staying here for many years - long before it became so posh. It is no longer the low-cost option it was due to becoming a 4* hotel, but the staff and location (obviously!) are as good as ever. I’m not so keen on the ‘mood music’ they now have in the upstairs lounge - it doesn’t really match the 16th-century interior. The new bar in the central courtyard was closed when we were there, so I was unable to try that. The dark green walls are very stylish and the improved aircon is most welcome.

Hotel Born, is right in the middle of the City. Less than 5 minutes walk to the tree lined avenue full of bars, restaurants and shops with the cathedral and harbour only a further 10 minutes away. The building and the decor is stunning and the staff are polite friendly and always happy to help. Our room was excellent and overlooked the outdoor dining area which is where we ate breakfast every morning and enjoyed a drink most evenings too. Breakfast itself is a well stocked fresh buffet of fruit bread cheese pastries and a few hot options too. Once you’ve mastered the coffee machine all is well with the world and you can sit in the warm outdoors listening to the hotels music until a very civilised 11am. Checkout is midday but we were able to leave our cases at the hotel until the evening and although there isn’t a courtesy room to get changed in for the journey home seasoned travellers wouldn’t have a problem with this. Would we go back ? Absolutely yes
