Great location, plenty of large beds but mattresses need to be replaced. A few touch ups inside are needed, washing machine knob was missing. Overall a nice place. Walking distance to Pier Park and the parking garage was great with the walk over on floor 3.

Beautiful sunsets

It was good. The master bath should have some instructions on how to use shower. The check out time was at 9 which we didn't like when you can't check in until 4. The heated pool was too cold. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and stay but thought I should provide some things to consider to make it better.

Great Condo

Ironman convenience

Great location! Everything is within walking distance. Property is spacious and quickly felt like home. A few things worth mentioning: needs new mattresses and duvet covers, needs a deep cleaning, does not provide beach/pool towels, does not provide salt & pepper. Overall, great property and we would stay here again.

Great Location

We chose this condo due to the location. It was perfect for walking to restaurants and is directly on the beach. The mattresses could use an upgrade due to them being worn down, and the kitchen is not well stocked with pots and pans. It was extremely clean and the amenities were amazing!

AMAZING Ocean views!

Amazing ocean views! Beautiful corner room with plenty of living space to enjoy a comfortable stay. Balcony was perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. 3 large king size bedrooms with connecting bathrooms made for a very comfortable stay for 3 adults. Living room was large and has a giant tv! Room was very clean and maintained well. Kitchen was equipped with all basic needs. Beach toys provided was a plus. Pool was a dream! You can sit on the pool deck and enjoy the ocean views. In the evening, we loved the bonfire. Very close to Pier Park for restaurants and shopping. Overall an awesome stay! We loved it!

We're Already Planning Our Next Stay!

The Calypso 3BR/3BR 9th floor end unit condo was fantastic! Unit was big, roomy, and had a great view. The shower in the master bath was amazing! The location couldn't be beat, as it's walking distance to the pier and all of the restaurants, attractions, and shops in Pier Park. The only criticism we had was that the deck furniture out consisted of a few plastic chairs, a couple tall chairs, and a single small table. Nicer, more comfortable deck furniture would have made our time on the balcony more enjoyable. The fabric sofa and swivel chairs were a bit out of place, given the fancier appearance of the condo. The Emerald Coast hosts were great to work with. They were easy to contact, responsive, and accommodating. We'll definitely stay here again!

Review

This property was beautiful, the unit was well maintained, and the showers were amazing. Checking in was a breeze. The beds were perfectly firm and the pillows were cozy. We loved it. The only hiccup we had was no access to local stations. After a couple of days and a few email exchanges- the maintenance team brought Rokus over and we were able to watch local TV (it is March madness). They were helpful and worked around our schedule. I would def stay here again and would recommend!

Panama Emerald Coast Cruisers

The condo was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the weather cooperated our entire stay. Other than a little bit of technical difficulty with remotes and ceiling fan. It was an awesome and perfect vacation. One thing that would have made our stay absolutely perfect. Would have been trailer parking for the cruise cars. We had to leave our towing vehicle and trailer at a different location. It would’ve been nice to have it all at one location. I would definitely recommend this condo for any season and would return at every opportunity to stay at Calypso in this particular unit.

Great location. Easy access to the beach and pools. Room was descent. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen suboptimal for cooking. Pots and pans need replaced. Refrigerator shelves need replaced as well. Dishwasher is dirty and smells terrible. Main shower needs cleaning. Shower heads were nasty. Lights need replaced.

Great condo, but....

No hairdryers in any of the 3 bathrooms. 3 bedrooms with king beds but only one wine glass in the condo. Wal Mart visit is needed to update the things needed in the kitchen. The deck chairs lacked a lot. Made of plastic and might have cost $15 each. When pool side looking at the other condos, this was the worst deck by far.

Great location but needs some attention

The view is fantastic and it’s very comfortable. For the money you get an updated look but that’s it. Don’t plan to watch local tv or much of nothing else unless you take your own Roku, Apple TV, or Fire Stick or an HDMI cable to watch from your own game system or laptop. They provide a very nice Direct TV guide but yet they don’t have that service. When you go to the grocery plan to buy everything including dish soap and garbage bags—it is stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Buy cleaning supplies in case our complaints on how dirty things were fell on deaf ears—cabinets, baseboards, bathrooms… The dishwasher was still dirty with dirty dishes in it. The garbage disposal doesn’t work. The middle bedroom walk-in shower water pressure is very weak and lukewarm at best.

This condo was filthy. Dirty, dusty, moldy. The dishwasher was covered in mold. They did respond to my concern and had someone come to “clean it”. I suppose they tried, but it was still so filthy. The thing needs replaced. I wish I could post photos. Had to buy disposable plates, cups, silverware because there was no way I was feeding my family off of anything that came out of the dishwasher. I also did not want to hand wash dishes on my vacation. The master shower was also filled with mold. Flooring, tile, shower heads, disgusting. When the AC quit working, someone came out to replace the dust clogged filter and “spray for mold”. We appreciated that. But they left their work bag up there for over an hour and we were wanting to get to the beach. So I texted them to forget it. We were not staying and were not happy to have to have strangers in our unit more than once. The washing machine needs fixed. It doesn’t agitate. Overall, it is a great location, beautiful view and nicely decorated…but the lack of care and upkeep is awful. There is definitely an issue with whoever maintains this unit. They should really reconsider hiring a new cleaning crew. Of course they did not respond when I told them I wanted a refund of some sort for the cleaning fee. It’s obvious they don’t actually clean it. We have stayed at the Calypso 5 times in the last 7 years. The rates have doubled and the cleanliness of the units have declined. Extremely disappointed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was clean and furniture is updated and aesthetically pleasing. Amazing master shower. I reached out to the management company on our second day because of some issues. I am pleased to say the management company addressed all of our issues within 24 hours. Example, there were only 3 coffee mugs in the unit that sleeps 8 to 10 people. They delivered additional cups and blankets within hours. I was not aware of the parking pass situation upon booking. I do not think I will book at this location again. I have stayed at numerous condos in this town and have never had to pay to park on the premises. Just keep the $50 per vehicle fee in mind when considering this location.

The premier place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely gorgeous condo, updated and decorated really nicely. We have stayed here for a week two years in a row. The only negative thing I can say is they were re-tiling the pools, so we only had one day use of the pools out of the week that we booked. They were closed for the re-tiling. I would call the condo directly before your stay to make sure there are no renovations going on.
