The hotel was clean and well presented, great location and very welcoming staff.
The room itself was clean and a good size, but it most definitely was NOT soundproofed, the noise from both inside and outside the room was really bad! We had to complain on our first night, which I hate! We also heard others complaining on subsequent nights, you could literally hear a mouse fart in another room (adjacent, above or below) not to mention the talking, tv, music, movement and the toilets!!! this led to very poor sleep!
The other frustration was why room keys had to be left at reception, this led to us feeling like our belongings were unsafe, especially as we were never challenged as to who we were when we returned despite never meeting the staff before, key was just handed over no questions asked! This is a process I have never had to do before!
Such a shame as the hotel location and staff were great, but unless you’re the worlds heaviest sleeper, I cannot recommend this hotel!
