Really lovely and unusual property. Old stone with a courtyard, all cleverly renovated, with all modern conveniences and spotlessly clean. Set in beautiful countryside with wonderful views and enchanting walks nearby. The food was fantastic, all homemade by the brilliant chef. A fantastic stay, thank you!

Beautiful suite on a beautiful property in a lovely setting. Exceptionally comfortable room with balcony overlooking grapevines. Attentive staff made the stay perfect. We enjoyed two dinners and two breakfasts, all made with care and featured local ingredients. The chef was a gem. We enjoyed the area hikes which we found well marked.

A gem of a find
The service that we received was absolutely fantastic. Super friendly and comfortable. Views are simply stunning. The highlight of the place is the quality of the food. Chef Marianna cooks the most amazing food. It cost 25 Euros for a 4 course meal which was outstanding. She along with the other staff are also absolutely lovely. Cant recommend highly enough.

Don't scroll passed, book this place!
Honestly this place is an utter haven! Don't hesitate and just book it! If I could give more than 5*s for service I would the team here are incredible, and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great break and assist with any query or issue you have. Breakfast was exceptional with everything handmade and fresh and so much of it grown on the farm itself. Evening meal was great too. And well that pool and that view.... Was the perfect place to relax and recharge after a busy and hectic city break! Thanks to all the team, we loved our stay, and can't recommend it enough

Honeymoon ! Top place to stay in Douro area!
We loved our stay. The view is amazing! The rooms are clean and well equipped. The breakfast was also very good! We ate in the restaurant one evening too which was perfect. We loved everything about our stay and would not hesitate to go back.

Great spot in a small village
A very nice family hotel with an outdoor patio and pool (for varm days). Indoor fireplace and lounge at reception. Situated at a farm with good parking and totally modern. The small town has an amazing winebar with great tapas style food and of course wine. 300m walking from the hotel. Breakfast - amazing.

We had an absolutely perfect vacation! We visited in October 2019. The property is so well cared for, with beautifully kept grounds and happy animals on the farm. The hotel strikes the perfect balance: you have the ability to have a private vacation, but Ana is available at all times to provide assistance when you need it. She is warm, kind, thoughtful, and extremely hard working. She makes you feel at home the minute you arrive. We also want to note that the restaurant is top notch. The food at the hotel is superb. It is fresh, beautifully cooked, and absolutely delicious. We look forward to the next time we can visit. We recommend this hotel to everyone. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation in a beautiful location with exceptional service, this is where you want to stay!

My review is based on what my friends experienced. It was a gift. They enjoyed the whole experience of the village even though they faced torrential rain to get there. They were stuck under a flooded under pass of the train and almost gave up if it hadn't been for a passer by. I think next time the staff of the 'Casa' should try to solve this issue when contacted. They knew where they were stuck. My friends would've given up and that would 've been a shame because they loved their stay once they reached the property.

This was hands down the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The pool was gorgeous, room was spectacular, the whole property was breathtaking with views of the whole country side and vineyard. If you have the chance to stay here, do not hesitate to go!

This place is a real jewel. Family owned and run. Amazing scenery and an excellent opportunity to dine one site while sitting next to the original stone wine vats used by the family to make wine for generations. I can't say enough about how charming this place is. It is a bit remote, but worth the drive.

Perfection. A beautifully renovated, charming and spotlessly clean place oozing with character, and hosted by a lovely couple that makes sure your travel needs are well taken care of. The breakfast was the best we had in our 10 day trip to Portugal - all homemade items that were delicious, local and carefully prepared in a ideal setting. You will love it.

Unpretentious and delightful!
The hotel is a group of large, over a century old, granite farm buildings that have been beautifully re-purposed into a charming, modern, small hotel, with decor along the lines of a Portugese, Martha Stewart vibe. It is surrounded by vineyards, orange trees, an organic garden, and infinity pool. A short walk down the lane leads to a tiny farm village with beautiful, high stone walls and a wonderful wine bar. The hotel owner is the great grandson of the original farmer and he and his wife couldn't be more hospitable. Jams are homemade and superb, not to mention great rolls. We thoroughly enjoyed a Saturday night dinner prepared by the owner's mother and his wife - all homemade and delicious - in spite of returning later than anticipated. Although the weather was poor, every aspect of the hotel experience was a pleasure. The family is genuinely sincere in helping you enjoy every element of your stay. Be aware that the hotel can be challenging to find, as it's a tiny town and the address didn't come up on our GPS. The owner suggested Googling the hotel by name to get directions that way. However you get there, the area has lots to offer and is well worth the trip.

Een geweldige tijd gehad! Onze studio was schoon en alles was aanwezig. Zwembad is prachtig en in de avond is het echt een aanrader om daar lekker te eten! Elke dag weer een verrassing wat we kregen.

Amazing place - the best!
Absolutely superb place for a stay. Spent a week there relaxing and doing walks in the area. The house had great views and very friendly staff doing their utmost to provide excellent service. Great breakfast and conveniently located for excursions to Porto or the Douro valley.

Nossa hospedagem foi algo inesquecível em nossas vidas! Uma estrutura fantástica com pessoas agradabilíssimas, atenciosas, amáveis, encantadoras. Os funcionários fizeram nossas dias serem encantados. O restaurante é outro ponto inexplicável! Os sabores, as texturas, pratos delicadamente preparados com ingredientes frescos e produzidos no próprio hotel. Sucos fracos e feitos com frutas do pomar nos fizeram desejar voltar e ter mais dias hospedados. Quero agradecer com muito carinho a todos que fizeram nossa hospedagem incrível!

Mooie casa met wijngaard ligt met trein ca. half uurtje van Porto. Nette slaapkamer met prima bedden en goede airco. Lief en net personeel dat dagelijks, zonder opdringerig aanwezig te zijn, zorgt dat je van alle gemakken en informatie wordt voorzien voor een fijn verblijf. Goed ontbijtbuffet en als je wilt kun je s’ avonds genieten van een plaatselijk lekker diner ( ingrediënten uit eigen tuinen). Was er 6 nachten met oudere zoon. Hebben genoten van Porto, maar ook lekker relaxed in het zwembad met fantastisch uitzicht, wat gewandeld, gefietst (is met hoogteverschillen en zonder fietspaden niet ideaal) en pool gespeeld.

Sehr schön gelegene Unterkunft. Kommt schnell und kostengünstig mit dem Zug nach Porto. Man kann im Countryhouse sehr gut essen. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier richtig aufgehoben.

Très bel établissement. Bien situé au calme â 30minutes de Porto. Dans la nature.tres calme.equipemet neufs et complets.et surtout excellent accueil des personnels.veritable maison d hôtes avec 7 chambres tres agréables,confortables et calmes avec des petits déjeuners complets et de qualité et des repas du soir extraordinaire... Bref à recommender sans réserves. Pour des tarifs raisonnables.

Underbart boende - kan rekommenderas både till par, vänner och familjer som reser. Inget att klaga på över huvud taget! Bra rum, fantastisk frukost och middag, ljuvlig pool - och underbart trevlig service. Vi vill tillbaka :)
