"Amazing 4 night stay at Tregenna Castle. Perfect location within easy (but steep) roadway through the castles woodland walk. We paid extra for a sea view and it didn’t disappoint. Large room with comfortable bed. Food was fab… Sunday roast was to die for. 100 % would recommend staying here."

"We spent three nights in this hotel. Free parking for our rental car was a convenience. The hotel is located on a main road in Penzance and there are traffic lights right outside the entrance. As a result, traffic noise was unavoidable. The front office manager Dick also doubled up as the bar tender. He was courteous and helpful. The thing that my family liked the most was the English breakfast. It was sumptuous and delicious. The chefs Yvette and Doreen were very friendly and kind. Our adult son who has autism enjoyed talking to them. They were patient with him. We did not realize that we had to bring our own toiletries until after we had checked in. As there were three of us, one of us had to sleep on the bunk bed. The lower bunk bed was not usable for us due to very low clearance."

"It is a pub with accommodation upstairs. Has a good parking space. Spacious room with good bed to sleep. One thing I noticed was shower power was low."

"We paid nearly £1400 for 2 night’s’ accomodation at the 3 bedroom cottage and it was a rip-off. The cottage was tiny : 3 bedrooms but only one toilet. The worst was this: the cottage reeked of musty smell, like when one enters an old antique shop. Of course we were not expecting modern decor, but the smell of old wood and old furniture in that 3 days were unbearable we stayed out as much as possible. It made us question if the blankets draping over the sofa were cleaned. It was just a very uncomfortable experience. Some of us had to do work calls but phone lines don’t work while in the premises. We couldn’t even call for taxis, “because Cornish houses were built long ago”, we were told. We asked for a change of rooms but were told all rooms were booked up and they were all the same, none of the rooms has good phone reception. The check in experience was positive but I wish some of the effort could have been placed into making the place smell less musty and more liveable. The cottage has a small kitchenette and a dining table but it was so poorly ventilated that cooking fumes would stay on the furniture. We bought groceries to make simple breakfast but left all the produce there. We will not go again & would NOT recommend the cottage."

" The Longboat Inn is very close to Penzance Station and not too far from the harbour, so very well situated. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the shower worked well. My room overlooked the main road, and was subject to some traffic noise (mainly from one idiot with an excessively loud motorbike who seemed to be riding up and down the road), but I had a very good night's sleep. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, especially in the breakfast room. The breakfast menu was varied, and the food was tasty and very well-cooked."

"I recently spent four nights at the Lugger Inn (bed and breakfast) and enjoyed my stay very much. My room was lovely, the dining room staff were cheerful and friendly and the breakfasts were great! The Lugger is well situated on the sea front and although the current roadworks required a detour, normally the walk to the station and buses would only have taken me 15 minutes."
