When we arrived at the hotel we were charged an extra £10 to park. No mention of that booking. The Hotel looked like it had been closed down for refurbishment wet paint signs all in reception no furniture. arrived at our rooms had beautiful views but rooms were very tired and dated. carpets are filthy and radiators, filthy bathroom really outdated blocked toilets no loo roll. Shower was awful no power whatsoever very very small cubicle.Just one cup in a room for two people. Kettle has old water in from previous occupants. The worst thing was on our return in the evening the fire alarm went off numerous times from 3 am really really loud we were actually afraid but nobody came to reassure us. Nobody was around. We went out into the hallway where we heard lots of screaming and shouting on the floor above but no reassurance from the Hotel whatsoever really need to look into the safety procedures. We emailed to explain our concerns and did not even get a reply. Honestly, I would give this Hotel a miss. It’s not up to standard we stayed for one night just felt sorry for anyone that had booked that for a few days. Looking forward to a break in Newquay. You would be totally disappointed.

The room was unclean and very dirty. Food on the floor, smears on the kettle, and a stained duvet cover and hair on the sheets. They changed my room and the second room was serviced better, but was still dirty. Upholstery is stained, carpets are stained and not recently vacuumed. But since the sheets and towels were clean I stayed one night. It was the same with the hallway and staircases - heavily stained stained and unvacuumed carpets in the stairwells. Stained surfaces on wallpaper, kettles, etc.

Absolutely loved our stay here and wish we could’ve stayed for longer.. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or the spa as we had such lovely weather and we’re enjoying the beach. Staff lovely, comfy bed and lovely shower!
