"The room was clean as was the bathroom, the hotel is in a very old building so exceptions have to be made when it comes to some things, such as the stairs are steep and there are 3 flights, although the top flight is not too big. However it is worth saying as I know of at least two people who would not manage them. Our room was at the top of the building with coomb ceilings which hold the heat, it was extremely warm even with a fan on constantly. The bathroom, although clean with no mould was functional but basic. The food was excellent as was the selection for breakfast. Our stay in this hotel was made by the fabulous staff who go out of their way to help with anything you need with a friendly smile and good humour. Would definitely recommend it."

"This older home was well maintained and comfy. It was close to the centre of Banbury and down the hill to Banbury Cross and the statue of the lady on the horse. Breakfast is included and there is a wide range of cold or hot meal options; there is a kettle in the room with tea bag’s and coffee packs with sugar and UHT milk made it easy to have a hot drink in your room early morning or in the evening. For being on a busy road it was very quiet. Michelle is welcoming, but leaves you to get on with your stay. I would stay there again."

"We used this as a base for a nearby multi-day county golf tournament. It was perfect for our needs providing a warm, comfortable and exceptionally quiet home where we could rest and reset after our long days out on the course. Our host was helpful throughout. From the initial enquiry, thru the early check-in, and the return visit to collect forgotten items! Nothing was too much trouble."

"The only concern I had was with the shower/bathtub combination. It is very difficult getting out, because the floor of the room is 6" lower than the bottom of the tub. And without anything to hold on to, I found it very dangerous."
