Great place to stay for the night

Great place to stay for the night, lady who checked us in with lovely, she had some really awkward rude customers before a hand, and she was calm and friendly the whole time, checked us in quick no issues. Room was just what we needed, decent size, clean and comfy

Bathroom floor in need of repair, loose raised tile, stopping door movement, no grout around the tiles. No soap left in the room by sink or shower, had to ask for some at reception. The room smelt of cigarette smoke. I was above the back door room 51, was woken at midnight by someone outside talking on their phone for an hour or so, others chatting before entering the hotel. Staff nice. Wifi ok not great signal.

My allergy was triggered by the strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, which made for a terrible night. Unfortunately, airing out the smoke by opening the window didn’t help—it only let in loud street noise. If I knew that this hotel allows smoking in the rooms, I would never have stayed here. The pleasant side was the young lady at the reception, who was very helpful and understanding, which I truly appreciated.

Check in pleasant , basic but clean . But boy does noise travel through it . Woken at 1am with sound of furniture being moved . Then again at 6:30 with shouting and banging on doors . Not the hotels fault but ruined my stay

Queensgate Hotel

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Maybe be a tad deflated due to issues beyond their control. The room was reasonable to good. I say this as a few faults were found but dealt with. No Mediterranean restaurant, no wellness centre. Food menu was very lacking in choice, this included breakfast. The hotel is in serious need of a revamp and could benefit from a more up to date feel in all areas. A shame really as the staff were great but was let down by the hotel.
