"Not very well organized with passwords etc. When I arrived, I had to wait for ~10-15 minutes for getting into the room because it was not ready.
Location is not confortable. It is ~2 km from the city center and the railway station on foot. The bathroom is shared with others, but in my case it was clean and proper."
"Really nice period Inn with great staff and good honest meals.
This IS a historic Inn so do not expect modern amenities.
The parking is great and we really enjoyed our stay.
Do yourself a favour and ignore the generic motels when next travelling in this area. "

Citycentre (Cowgate) nice, with bars/restaurants, but took Uber to Charters Bar, heard one of best places if like bar/real ale/thai food. Is a barge on riverfront with pub lower floor and restaurant above. Bankside seating and music venue apparently.

The city has a great historic centre, with the Cathedral and the area around the square. The shopping experience is very good, with both the old, standard streets and the mall (Queensgate), with many eateries too.

We had previously lived in Peterborough for 45 yrs. So we know what it is like. Lots of places to see & do. Ie. Cathedral, indoor bowling, golf, lovely walks & things to do in Nene Park, which is only 5 mins drive up the rd.

We recommend Ferry Meadows for a good walk with a dog and an excellent dog friendly cafe overlooking a lake.

Peterborough is a fascination town, a bit rough around the edges--but many towns in England have that character. I actually lived there several years ago. You get quality, convenience, and value with its proximity to national railway.

Had not been into Peterborough centre for over 5 years. Nice to wander around. The Queensgate centre has settees you can while away time on. Cheap taxi to hotel. Will visit again.

Lack of shops in the Queensgate centre. Great cathedral and Longthorpe Tower worth a visit

A decent selection of eateries and bars, as you'd expect in any town centre of this size.
The Bull Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western
10/10 Excellent
"I have stayed at the Bull Hotel once before because I live in Skegness and I needrd to catch an early train from Peterborough. So, when I needed to do the same thing the Bull was the obvious place to stay. There is plenty of parking, with two EV chargers. I programmed my car's sat nav with 3 Fitzwilliam Street Peterborough as the archway over the entrance to the carpark is immediately to the left of number 3. The room I had was clean, tidy comfortable with two armchairs. The bed was comfy. I ate breakfast there. Breakfast is a buffet. Breakfast was an enjoyable experience. To quote MacArthur when thr Japanese invaded the Philippines 'I shall return'."
"Went to stay and relax and chill got a nice gym and pool beds are really comfortable and very clean staff are very nice and friendly and plenty of walks around the hotel"
"Good room. Clean Sheets. Bathroom good size and clean. Shower gel & shampoo. Cool air-conditioning. Wellness area relaxing.
Good food in the restaurant. Top service"
"We needed a last-minute place to stay and stumbled across this hotel; what a great find! The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the team couldn’t have been more polite and helpful. The hotel has a really good feel; tidy, well laid out, and perfectly located for everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back!"
"Amazing place. The entire hotel is spotless and the staff went out of their way to greet us and help us. We genuinely felt welcome here. The buildings are beautiful."
"Huge comfortable bed, standard king room was a great size, best of all zero noise outside the room, not a sound. Great choice of breakfast food, all very fesh, reasonable price. Parking on site and a bus stop accross the road takes you into central Cambridge or station."
