"Staff was very friendly. The hallways and rooms were very clean. I would have loved a breakfast but can't ding them on that for my preferences. My only issue was the tub. The tub was so tall you almost need a step ladder to get into it. I banged my leg on it every time getting in and out. Once in the shower, you need to stand sideways in the shower or each shoulder touches the wall of the shower and the curtain (gross!). I had to shower with the curtain outside of the shower. They could use a curved shower curtain bar instead."

"The VRBO listing and photos presented a wonderful property to enjoy. But when each of the three couples drove up to the house and saw it's setting, we all said "WOW". Then we walked inside we each did a double wow. The kitchen and living area are more than adequate for the 6 adults in our group.The host was always a step ahead of us with communication. If we return to the area we will stay again."

"This is the most unique property I have ever stayed at using Expedia. It is a beautiful mansion, rather than a hotel, and the proprietor, Richard, is the consummate hospitality professional. This is not the standard hotel experience. The guests are in contact with one another through the shared breakfast and communal spaces on the first floor. There is a large living room, dining room, and multiple sitting spaces. The breakfast is curated daily and it was delivered in courses, unhurried. I felt as though I was in a movie wandering about. This is not a corporate experience. The mansion is antique, updated, comfortable, and quiet. It’s probably for more seasoned travelers with an appreciation for history and gentility. Its not a place for a quick overnight stay. That would be a waste. Also probably not for children or night owls to respect the peace of the place."
