This hotel has been recently updated with modern appliances and a high-tech feel. The room is spacious by central London standards. Although our room was on the -1 level, we could barely hear the Tube, even at night. There is no front desk, but management responded promptly to our requests via email. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of the British Museum and the Russell Square Tube station. We visited in April and found it to be an excellent value for a short stay in London.

A large king bed suite. Large enough for more than 1 uncomfortable chair, could easily fit a small table and 2 chairs. Actually looked like wasted space. Lighting in large good Bath very dim. More light please. On 2 days (of 5) no room changeover before 6 pm. Glasses in suite below standard for this type of property. Small, plastic, no wine glasses. Had to go to the bar to get ice. Staff is uniformly excellent, the set backs are HQ choices.

The staff personnel were great. The staff helped us obtain early accommodations before check-in time and with directions for buses avoiding the Underground strike. Hotel was wonderful, rooms dark for sleeping and the mattress very comfortable. Extremely recommend the hotel.
