We’ve been in the hotel for a second time. Different room this time. We had a balcony which was nice. For a nonsmokers it might be a problem as many people smoke on balconies. Staff very friendly, kind and approachable. Big variety of food for both breakfast and dinner. Hotel is located 500 metres from a train station and a beach. We’re very happy.

A lovely family hotel with a pool on the roof. Hotel has a/c in every room and in main areas. The food was fresh and varied. Staff both in reception and waitresses were very friendly.

Stayed many times over the years but no more. Really noisy, guests constantly banging about and dogs continuously barking. The dining experience isn’t good either.

5 day stay
The breakfast buffet was awesome and plenty of varieties. The room was cleaned every day. However,we stayed at the 1st floor and ungortunately we can hear noises from outside of our room.

Positive facts: Free parking, altough is not near the hotel Good breakfast and dinner with plenty options to choose from Negative facts: Hotel is a a bit far from the beach The room had no balcony The bathroom had no floor drainage The safe from the room was at surcharge (20€/week) Poor phonic isolation of the room (it was very noisy in the evening/night)

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and many spoke in 3-4 languages. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and beach, as well as banks, restaurants and tobacconists. The food was average, but it was an all-you-can-eat buffet at a very reasonable price. Very convenient, especially breakfast. Local restaurants obviously have better food.

Didn’t like the fact that when we arrived 10pm they never had our reservation so no room available. Not sure who was at fault but was put up in another hotel a little further up the road.

Friendly English-speaking staff, with a well organised catering operation,if your on half board, food not that exciting but does its job of keeping you well fed. Rooms basic, and I do wish they would have tea/coffee making facilities and fridges in rooms. Lovely roof top terrace with pool and sun beds, complimented by an excellent bar serving snacks and ice cold drinks.....a lovely feature of the hotel and never that busy. Would certainly stay again.

Good hotel in a lovely spot.
No other English people in hotel. Always able to get a sunbed. Lovely rooftop bar. Near the town square. Lovely 10 mins walk to beach through old Spanish town. Good transport links from buses and trains.

Very nice hotel for this price. Good location to access the beach, trains and supermarkets, also close to the town centre. The hotel offers a free parking which we found a great thing! Breakfasts were not bad, almost everyone could find something to eat there.

The rooftop pool and bar was really amazing. The free breakfast and dinner was a plus but it was a hit or miss depending on the day. The bed was rock solid and our toilet had a disturbing smell coming out of it the whole week. The hotel itself was fine but the rooms were not.

Very good!
Very good value for money hotel 10 minute walk up from the rail station, clean and nice friendly staff, plenty of choice for brekky and evening meal. Didn't care for the first room but changed to better one no problem. Pool area and lounge bar on the roof was lovely.Then there were the bells...might annoy light sleepers as they clang till midnight.

Strongly recommend this 3 star hotel great value
We have stayed at the Mercer regularly for 12 years and seen the standards continuously improve and also really like Pineda de Mar as a venue. Staying in May 2018 we found further renovations to the premises plu gaining an extra star to 3 star rating. The menu choice had also improved has had the service arrangements were very pleased. We chose half board for the 7 night stay and thought full board would have been superfluous couldn't have managed 3 cooked meals. The staff were very frièndly and helpfull and we were pleased at being recognised as past visitors. We recommend asking for rooms with outside views and balcony the inside rooms are less attractive. We rate this hotel as great value for money and room service was daily and thorough. The rooftop pool is good with views and everything works. You do have to pay for wifi at €1 per day per item which is getting unusual but the overall rates are low. We chose to drive to Spain with stopovers in France and current tempoary downside is parking as local council chose to start resurfacing the adjacent very large free car park the day we arrived and alternative on-street parking is impossible. We dropped into a nearby space by luck but we're not able to move the car. Should be resolved by end June. Strongly recommend the Merce Hotel and Pineda de Mar resort which has a lovely sandy beach.

Good value - really enjoyed our stay.
Way better than star rating might suggest. Food very good. Would perhaps have helped if food not easily recognised was labelled. The buffet service was very fast. Just a little eat it and beat it. No drinks at dinner. Either bring your own water or sort out the wine as soon as you arrive in the restaurant.

Mercé is a nice hotel, and we had a great stay. The rooms are a bit dated but you have everything you need, and they are kept clean. The nicer looking rooms shown in Hotel.com's pictures are the more exclusive rooms, which you can upgrade to, for €30 per night per person. The upstairs pool area is nice, and the breakfast in the restaurant was good and with a huge selection. The hotel arranges different entertainment in the rooftop bar and especially the Saturday Rock Night was great!!! Pineda de Mar is a nice little town with bars, restaurants and shops a short walk from the hotel. The beach is just wonderful, and it is easy to take a train down to Barcelona.

If you would like to stay in Pineda been that for holiday or festivals this place is central for all the needs and the price is great. Staff is speakong english and are very friendly. Some of the rooms needs more refurbishment but overall great experience.

Très bonne hôtel. La demi pension a très bon rapport qualité. Beaucoup de choix et de variétés de plat pour le petit déjeuner et même le dîner. L'emplacement idéal pour tout faire a pieds boutique plage. Seul bémol la chambre manque un peu d insonorisation.
