"We were right on the beach with a wonderful pool maybe 50 feet from our door and the ocean front was not much further. There was even some decent snorkeling around the rocks next to our beach. There were restaurants on either side of the condos that were great and a French bakery nearby with heavenly croissants and sandwiches and desserts, also a shop with French cheeses and wine. Betty and Pascal were very attentive hosts and extremely helpful especially when we accidentally locked ourselves out on the morning of our last day!! I would definitely stay there again."

"The Sonesta Maho Beach Resort with a total positive Vibe! Exceptional Staff and accommodations. The food was very good with a nice variety to choose from. The drinks were great! There was always something to do and the pool was on point."

"We stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort in St. Maarten and unfortunately the first room we were given was very disappointing. It clearly needed renovation, everything looked old and scratched, there was no hot water, and the bathroom is in serious need of a full update. Even the fridge was very outdated and not appealing. This left us with a very negative first impression and affected our first day. We requested to be moved and were given another room, which was much better. It appeared newly renovated, clean, and everything worked properly. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the beach. The cats around the property were also a nice touch. Overall, the experience was mixed, the initial room was very poor, but the second room, along with the location, beach, and friendly staff, improved the stay significantly."

"We were greeted by Max, who provided the consummate concierge service! The property’s best features: living room and surrounding deck and pool. While you should not go into the ocean in front of property due to rough surf and rocks, a 20 minutes walk ensures calmer water. The villa was very clean. We loved the iguanas and local cat (with her 2 kittens!!)…very impressed with the Friendly Island; hope to be back soon!"
