"We have stayed several places in Sayulita and Casa Pata Salada is our new favorite. Adorable casita with an ocean view and close to everything. We will definitely stay here again. "
"Very nice accommodation. The on site staff were all friendly and helpful. The road stays pretty noisy with vehicles climbing the hill, but the property and room are so nice we’ll be back despite the noise. "
"Everything seems to be quite new and very clean! It is very close to everything and very quiet. My lasy day I had no power or water, but I learned that many parts of Sayulita experienced the same problem that day. It is a great little place for a great price!"

"I don’t even know where to start. This was probably the most beautiful I have ever stayed. The decor is unique and relaxing. The view from the giant private patio is INSANE. The bed is sooooo comfy (I am actually currently in the process of sourcing the pillows and bedspread to buy for my home!). The location is one block from the beach and right in the middle of town and everything you could want to walk to (although super quiet with the patio doors closed). The AC was a life saver (I visited in the summer). The rooftop pool? OMG. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
I’m a woman and travelled ablond and felt completely safe the whole time.
I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again.
💕🌸💗10/10💗🌸💕"
"Lalo, who runs the property, was very hospitable and accommodating! As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe walking around there the entire time. The entrance is at the top of a steep hill, so get your legs ready! Renting a golf cart for a day was quite fun. I would love to stay there again. The only reason I gave the area 4 stars is there is construction going on directly by Distrito 88. "
"We had a lovely time at Siete Lunas!! Such a sweet boutique hotel with incredible views, delicious food, lovely patio, pool and dining area and friendly, helpful staff!! Highly recommended! "
"I booked this stay with my partner to celebrate our anniversary, expecting a luxurious experience for a portion of our otherwise budget-friendly trip. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
Upon check-in, we were informed of an “upgrade” due to electrical issues with our room. The replacement was a secluded jungle cabin with an outdoor bathroom that had no mirror, dirt on the bed, mold stains on the ottoman, and poor lighting. The AC was blasting to mask the damp/musty wood smell and gaps under the door let in mosquitoes, the uneven floorboards made it hazardous, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work, leaving the TV useless. I had to fight not to be charged for this subpar first night.
The room wasn’t the main issue though. On the day of our anniversary, we waited by the closed pool (we were told at check-in it would be closed that day) to be relocated. Staff mishandled our bags, which arrived covered in dirt, and the new room wasn’t even ready when we got there. I also tripped on the stairs, and a staff member later laughed about it to the cleaning staff.
The room we originally booked was beautiful, but the poor service and frustrating experience ruined what should have been a special stay. A key portion of our trip, meant to celebrate our anniversary and enjoy the property’s amenities, was derailed.
Additional notes:
- The walk to town is 40 minutes—definitely book a golf cart!!
- The food is mediocre, overpriced, and not vegan friendly
- sunrise was gorgeous here"
