Hôtel was perfect. Nice and clean, spacious room, receptionist when I checked in was lovely, hotel was perfect location for why I was visiting Portsmouth

We were staying at Q8 for The Great South Run and the staff at Q8 could not have been more helpful! I emailed in advance to see if there would be a fridge available to keep our breakfast to have before the run and they responded within an hour to confirm they would sort this for us and we could use the fridge in the lounge area. On the day of the run the weather was awful so we asked if there was anyone coming into our room and if not whether we could pop back for a shower after the run before we made our car journey back. Again they couldn’t have been more helpful and let us use the room which made such a difference to us when we were tired and wet. I really can’t thank the staff at Q8 enough - they really made a big difference to our stay and would definately stay again. Thank you!

Wouldn't stay here again

Wouldn't stay here again. The room was clean & beds comfortable. However, I booked a family room & the room we had certainly wasn't! Room was very small & single beds very close together, it was small even for 2 people. Also, nowhere for clothes etc apart from a very small rail with 1 coat hanger. Couldn't have stayed for more than 1 night. Something else that seemed odd was the hotel staff pushing to be paid in cash in return for a small discount. There are better hotels around.

Modernised Budget but extremely clean!

Nice clean hotel - modern budget would be best description. Single bed was uncomfortable unfortunately - room was big enough for a small double, but room was nice and clean, staff were lovely. Good WiFi too ! Parking is a free for all on public street outside.
