"Great property, incredible sea views, ideally located - we had such a wonderful time! Emily was such a lovely host who I can’t thank enough for being so accommodating with our requests. Next time we’ll have to come with a bigger group and stay for longer to enjoy the house even more!"

"Agree entirely with a previous review. Not an hotel, just a B&B with bar and a very limited menu. The proprietess wanted to talk at us. The son, considerably older than 21, came up to us in the bar and said his mother would be with us soon to serve us drinks. Clearly he was not authorized to. Why? So we waited another 5 --10 mins for her to appear. No hot water in room - neither shower nor wash basin. Reactions were "we know one of the hot water timers is faulty, but it's nearly time for annual maintenance" and "we have plenty of hot water in the kitchens" !. Was I supposed to shower in the kitchens? No compensation or apology was offered on checkout. Beware very daunting steep narrow staircase to all the rooms. The very same son did take our bags upstairs on arrival, but was nowhere to be seen on departure. The corner shower was very cramped, but the doors only opened halfway so it was difficult to squeeze in, I am not very large 5ft9 and 13st. There was no bath mat to step out on nor soap. Only a wall mounted shower gel dispenser in the shower. We shall not go back even though the beds were comfortable, and a reasonable hospitality tray and kettle on the dressing table which just reached the power point. "

"The staff are amazing. Parking is free on the road beside the pub. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Nice pub with great locals. Ideally placed for HMS Raleigh functions. "

"So glad we booked here, we were looking for a short break away for Christmas 2025, for a change of scenery, looking for something coastal for nice long walks with the sea air, with its great location there is a small cafe / bistro a short walk ideal for a drink and food after our walks, we ventured to the next village for our evening meals, the property has everything you would want or need, spacious, clean, modern and yet cosy, with the best views, waking up with the master bedroom blinds open and seeing the sea each morning, with being from the midlands it’s a real treat. With having 3 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms but we only it needed 2, the hot tub off the living room was all set up and ready for use upon arrival, our stay was so enjoyable we would look at booking again "

"Been looking forward to end of the year short break with family / friends. Very disappointed during our stay, heating and hot water did not work for at least a day and half. The property was freezing cold and noting that December / winter. Besides, could not have hot shower after long walk and tiring day. Sadly to say that had to drive to Fowey and took shower at friend place. It had ruined the experience for this trip. "
