"Ambiance was very romantic with live local music playing during the day and at night. Lots of beaches and areas to explore and enjoy the beauty of the landscaping. Plenty of activities and different places to eat. But hands down, the employees are what put this place over the top. Very genuine! And they took excellent care of us which made it a very special experience. Love this place."

"Our party included an extended family of 13 ranging from grandparents to grandkids. The house was a perfect fit with Hawaii style and comforts. We happen to be there when Hurricane LaLa was approaching and the host and his onsite overseer were proactive in communication. When the power went out that communication and care continued. If you’re going to be stuck due to bad weather, power outages, and closed state beaches, you can’t beat Puako. So many places to access snorkeling and sunsets. The house is a great location to discover Waikola, Kohala, and Kona. All in all, we’re grateful to our hosts for making sure we could enjoy the house safely and comfortably the whole time."

"The staff, food and view were incredible. The room could be cleaner we were upgraded to a suite for an extra cost and the sink knobs were rusted, the tub was growing mold in small areas and glass doors and closer mirror doors were not clean. We stayed for 5 nights and used the dining table often it was never cleaned the entire time we were there. We also encounter large cockroaches at the gift shop and near the room. Made staff aware right before checking out and their response was thank you we will pass it on to management,"

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach-facing property. The location was fantastic, with gorgeous views and easy access to the beach. The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and everything we needed was provided. Waking up to the ocean view every morning was definitely a highlight. The host was friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing home- phenomenal beach and coral reef to snorkel. We really appreciated all of the water, shoes and snorkels that were available. We saw sea turtles, colorful, fish, and so many other sea wildlife animals while we were there. The house itself is gorgeous and extremely well taken care of. Super well organized kitchen. It was our favorite place out of the four places we stayed on vacation in Hawaii."

"What an exceptional place! We had such a magical time. We stayed as a family of four including our kids ages 9 and 3. We all loved being able to walk right across the street to the gorgeous ocean and see the sea turtles eating in the tide pools. I even came across a monk seal sleeping on the beach - (and gave it plenty of space). The kids especially loved the backyard and we all enjoyed the swing so much! From the unobstructed views of Mauna Kea to the star gazing, it’s a lovely property you can enjoy at all times of the day or night and we made sure to do so. The furnishings are beautiful and the home was very clean. Everything we possibly needed was there, and the outdoor shower was a huge plus. This home made our 30th anniversary vacation so special! Thank you so much the lovely stay!"
'My Favorite Place on Earth'

"My Favorite Place on earth is an idyllic spot for two people. The views are stunning, the sound of waves lulling you to sleep are peaceful, and waking up to a small, but well appointed kitchen to cook breakfast before sightseeing is a plus. Our stay was lovely and a great blend of restful and active days. Our favorite was driving less than 2 miles north to snorkel at Hapuna Beach where there is an abundance of colorful fish to see. We also loved seeing the turtles on the reef right behind the house.We spent most of our time at the house on the lanai watching the waves. There is no air conditioning, but the trade winds kept us comfortable for all but two afternoons. Sleeping with the fans on and the windows open was a must for us and kept us quite comfortable. We would definitely come back to what is now our favorite place on earth and happily recommend it to anyone considering a Big Island vacation."
