The Tropicana is a beautiful unique experience. Nothing beats being on the beach! We love it. One of the oldest hotels inPV if you are not fussy. We’ve been there at least 10 times. Can’t wait to go back.

We only stayed one night in Puerto Vallarta before heading to Nuevo Vallarta. The Tropicana was nice, we booked a superior room withe pool view but to our surprise was also a partial ocean view. We did not use the pool since it was raining that evening. We look forward to staying there again for a longer stay in the future since we loved how close the hotel is to the ocean.

Bed was very hard. Beach beautiful. No real resort amenities not sure why they charge a resort fee: the room card on your wrist gets really nasty fast. I’d stay again but the entire 9days they didn’t change the sheets. They just kept remaking the bed. Also you have to check out an iron and they don’t give wash clothes. Not a resort more of a hotel. Otherwise not bad.

A gentleman (Victor) at reception went above and beyond. The entire staff (with the exception of two) was great. The rooms were simple, but clean and had a functioning ac and listed amenities. The rate was fairly priced.

Perfect location! Beautiful beach view and direct access to the beach. Very happy with our room, the beach view and its amenities (kitchenette). Great and consistent service from the hotel staff. Everything is walkable to explore Zona Romántica.
