"If you're looking for a true Roman experience as if you were living in a beautiful apartment with gorgeous frescos on the ceilings and mosaic tiled floors, this is the place.
To enter from the street through a courtyard and up the steps, with art and romance all around is the beginning of the experience and it only gets better from there. You are steps from all the sites, best shopping, great cafes, and more.
The staff were all so incredibly helpful and kind. Can't say enough about the...
"Another wonderful stay at this beautiful, relaxed and discreet hotel. Just love their attention to detail and laid back dignity. Can’t wait to go back. "
"Teichnersuite is Rome’s hidden gem! It was perfect for our family of 4 with plenty of space and storage (we were in suite 3). The staff were delightful (especially Vincent) and super helpful. It’s located on a quiet and classy piazza, with high end shopping steps away. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to all the sites in Rome. It’s also across from the best gelato in town! "
"The location of this hotel is PERFECT! It’s steps away from all the best shopping, Spanish Steps and amazing food. The staff and service were great as well! The room is on the smaller scale but that’s how these old buildings were built. Absolutely loved it! "

"Hotel Delle Nazioni was excellent. The room was spotless, the staff were wonderfully attentive, and the location, right in the heart of Rome, could not have been more convenient. All of the city’s major attractions are within a 20-minute walk, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Breakfast was very good, and if you have any allergies or dietary requirements, the staff are more than happy to accommodate. My only quibble, which I was aware of beforehand, is that being just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain inevitably means large crowds and quite a bit of noise, particularly during peak tourist months. That said, if you only have a few days in Rome, this is an excellent choice as you’ll be within easy reach of everything.

"My stay at Hotel Scalinata di Spagna was the perfect ending to an unforgettable trip. The location could not be more ideal—perched above the Spanish Steps with breathtaking views, yet still intimate and peaceful. It felt like having my own hidden corner of Rome.
The staff made me feel so welcome, with genuine warmth and attention to detail that turned a great stay into something truly special. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches, and the breakfast on the terrace was a highlight every morning.
What made my time here unforgettable was how this hotel became the backdrop for one of the most meaningful experiences of my life—getting to see the Pope. Ending my trip in such a beautiful and caring place, with that extraordinary moment, is something I will treasure forever.
I left Rome with a full heart and a promise to myself: I have to come back to Hotel Scalinata di Spagna.

"Wonderful stay! Entire team was so welcoming, kind and helpful. Perfect location with easy walk to many local landmarks and great restaurants. Beautiful rooftop views. Rooms updated, comfortable and well air-conditioned to deal with the August heat. Highly recommend- thank you!"
"We only stayed one night, but the location was excellent—right in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Spanish Steps and other main attractions. The room was convenient for our quick stay. The only downside was that the receptionist who checked us in wasn’t very welcoming, which left a less-than-great first impression. Overall, though, the location makes this a solid choice if you want to be in the center of everything."
"Loved staying at this hotel. Great service, great location, all landmarks within walkable reach. Staff was very helpful. Spacious room with an impeccable cleaning service. "
"Excellent, comfortable room in a beautiful location in Rome. Rooftop bar is well-priced (not free, don’t make the same mistake I did!) good wines. Shower temp is pretty rotten but the rest of the hotel amenities make up for it. Pre-purchase the breakfast buffet if you have a morning flight, it is totally worth it!"
"Everything about this hotel was amazing. The room was great. The food was delicious. The receptionist were helpful. I would love to stay here again and soon. "
