Hotel Okura Amsterdam
10/10 Excellent
"My favourite hotel in Amsterdam. It's an oasis of calm set back from the road in the lovely residential neighbourhood of De Pjip whicb has plenty good bars, restaurants and cafes. 10 minute taxi or metro ride into the centre. "
"Modern, clean and very convenient. It is less than a 5 minute walk from the metro that can take you anywhere in the city. The room was spacious and very well kept. The staff is ready to help when needed. The rooms are quiet and the neighborhood is quiet at night as well."
"We had a lovely 1st stay in Amsterdam. Helen got our room available early after landing from US. Andrea provided gr8 Metro directions to get us about. Sean gave us walking guidance and Dylan makes a mean capucino and shares hus b ball knowledge. We felt at home. Killer room exterior shades!"
Park Centraal Amsterdam, part of Sircle Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel. My room was small, but perfectly sized for one person.
Really close to to the museum quarter and next to one of the canals.
Close to a tram stop so easy to get around Amsterdam.
Overall, a great place to act as a base to explore the city"
"While it may seem out of the way it really isn’t and you get a great deal because of that. The metro is literally across the street and the tram stop is at the end of the block and will get you to all main attractions in 15-30m. Tip: buy a GVP transit pass, add it to your phone’s wallet, and then just scan on any transport (you can even get to the airport with it). The hotel is also a beautiful 20m walk from Albert Cuyp market, which has authentic stroopwaffel, amazing food, and cute little shops. The hotel itself is really nice and clean and very hip while still being welcoming. It has a lot of options to hang out too, including later when everything is closed: the lobby cafe (good sandwiches and pastries), an upstairs bar with city views, a downstairs club, and rooftop hot tubs and sauna. Staff in all these areas were always friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves were very clean, comfortable, and had nice amenities like shampoo and shower gel, hairdryer, and lots of towels. If you want to be left alone in your unpacked chaos, they don’t clean the room until the 4th day unless requested, which I appreciated. Overall this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and I would definitely recommend and would stay here again for sure."
