Ragged Point Inn and Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We just stayed for a night of a "staycation" at the Ragged Point Inn. I've been to the lovely restaurant there for breakfast and lunch many times and the beautiful walk to the lookout area, but it was my first time staying at the hotel and enjoying dinner. Our room, even though one of the less expensive, had a really nice view and was much larger than I expected. Staff provided a rollaway bed for an extra guest that was very comfortable. We will look forward to another trip there again and highly recommend it. Christianos at Check in was really friendly and helpful."
Sands by The Sea

"Stunning location with beautiful ocean views. The rooms at Sands are quite basic compared to the adjacent Cavalier. The prices (fair) reflect that. As far as I could tell they're one and the same property. Kind of like Toyota is to Lexus! You get full access to all the magnificent amenities whichever one you stay at. Pools, hot tub, restaurant are all excellent. The fire pits situated right on the bluffs are a perfect way to end one's night. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sands and look forward to returning."
Silver Surf Motel

"Room was clean. Hot tub was a little murky but we went in anyway and it was fine. Probably just had some sand or oil or something. Very basic hotel. No coffee in the lobby and the coffee machine in the room makes only very weak coffee. Walls are very thin -- motorcycles outside could be heard VERY clearly. Somebody was smoking weed outside our window or above us and the smell wafted in, which was gross but not the hotel's fault... The back parking lot has a bump that hit/scraped the bottom of my car. It was really inexpensive, especially for getting into the Big Sur area. We'd stay again, but with lower expectations."
Cavalier Oceanfront Resort

"We had a wonderful stay at Cavalier Oceanfront. The property was very clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful location right by the ocean. The sunset views were absolutely perfect and one of the highlights of our stay. The room was well maintained, and we really appreciated the nice minibar and thoughtful amenities. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience with a great location, beautiful ocean views, and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again."

"Our room was nice, however I wish they had a full length mirror. Also, the toilet kept running. I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast"
