About this property

3 Bed in Reeth (oc-b42655)

  • The pretty village of Reeth plays host to this charming stone-built terraced cottage. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, the property is perfect for families and groups of friends planning days of adventure across the Yorkshire Dales National Park. From your doorstep, step out to find the Swaledale Valley at your feet – expect scenic walks, iconic cycle trails and climbs including the coast to coast path, heather-clad moorland, and panoramic viewpoints such as Fremington Edge, just half a mile away. The host village of Reeth is a great base for outdoor activities, featuring welcoming pubs and tearooms to return to, along with a village shop for picking up local supplies. Charming nearby destinations include the market town of Hawes and its Dales Countryside Museum, historic Richmond with its castle and cobbled streets, the dramatic Bolton Castle, and the welcoming town of Leyburn (all within 14 miles).

Step into this Yorkshire cottage, kick off your muddy walking boots in the hallway, and venture deeper to uncover characterful, cosy interiors that invite relaxation between days out. On your left, the lounge beckons you to sink into the soft seating, flick on the Smart TV, and spark up the open fire on chilly evenings. This flows through to a lovely dining room, where you can gather around the wooden table to savour Yorkshire feasts cooked up in the adjoining kitchen. The well-appointed kitchen features traditional wooden cabinets, a handy central island, and a multi-fuel stove which adds character to the room, with everything needed for preparing holiday meals. A utility room with a dishwasher and washing machine completes the ground floor. Upstairs, choose from three restful bedrooms: two double rooms, and a cosy twin bedroom. Serving the bedrooms is a fantastic family bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower.

Spill outside into the enclosed gravelled garden at the rear. This peaceful spot features outdoor dining furniture, perfect for al fresco morning coffees. Parking is on-street to the front of the cottage, and subject to availability.
