"Location, location, location: this apartment certainly has that going for it, as nearly all reviewers have noted. St. Louis Hills is a beautiful neighborhood, and the view of the north end of Francis Park is fantastic, especially in springtime.On arrival, everything was reasonably clean (except that the coffee maker was left with used coffee grounds inside). The mattress in the master bedroom is comfortable.Beyond these positive features, however, the apartment is rather dark, populated with a random collection of furniture and equipment, and in need of updating. For instance, there's a large variety of lamps, not all of them working, and none of them providing enough light for comfortable reading.Communication about the apartment's features, rules, and procedures through the VRBO website is limited: no specifics about check-in or check-out, for instance. There is a binder with somewhat more detailed printed information in the apartment.Specific problems during our stay included inability to connect devices to WiFi on arrival, fixed after the owner restarted the router. There was also a lightweight shower curtain liner with a large hole and tears along the top that tended to float toward the person in the shower once the water came on, causing it to stick unpleasantly to that person.To sum up: it's an adequate and comfortable enough unit with potential to be so much more with a little updating and attention."

"Highly don’t recommend, the location for the property is inside a business/restaurant.Unknown people walks up to you as you are getting out of your vehicle. The host promised us reimbursement on a non working washer and dryer and I never received it. Homeless people live right behind the apartment/restaurant. Extremely loud during the day and night as well. I left my phone at the property and they did not return it. "

"The apartment was snug and cozy. We really appreciated the location - it was close to everything. If there were things I would point out: a) the tv in the bedroom has a line in it, the couch in the living room is very uncomfortable, havin a luggage rack or somewhere to put our bag down isn't a terrible idea and having longer pulls on the ceiling fan is ideal- w/o the ability to open a window the high ceilings and weather shift made it very stuffy in there. Getting the fan going was a game changer. But let me be very clear- we would stay there again, and these are nitpicking things. It was clean, and a great value and great location. Everytime I reached out there was a response. I woudl recommend it to anyone else. "

"Neighborhood was not described in listing at all. Bedroom was a dining room. Toilet is in older home, anyone plus size needs to know the tight space to sit. Better for 2 or maybe 3 max. Not a real table to sit for meals. Shower was broken was told when we arrived and did not offer to get fixed, but we would not have wanted people in and out anyway as we did not feel the safest already. Was listed no party on our rental but the house beside was smoking and it was definitely a party for them and it blew into the house with the kids. "

"Wow! When the host asked about the ages of the kids I was bringing, I had no idea she was going to set up age appropriate toys for them! What a thoughtful gesture! I also appreciated the ample table space for a whole family to eat together, which is so often lacking in a rental house. I was able to do what laundry I needed to do quite comfortably, and the kitchen was adequate for making home-cooked meals. Absolutely great place for a family to stay!! "
