Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waynesboro East by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Stay here if you are in the Waynesboro area! So nice that I almost want to keep it a secret lol. Very clean and cozy with room decor that is modern and aesthetic making it feel even more clean. Can you tell I’m picky when it comes to hotels? I always try to stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel. I can say this location is the best I have been too in a while. Great staff too! We requested a Mountain View if available and it was so pretty. It faces the interstate and the gorgeous mountains. We had a king suite and more than enough room. I loved the glass showers! This makes it feel like a cleaner shower than a shower curtain to me. Great lighting in bathroom to get ready like makeup etc. Great move from IHG with all the updates on their new hotels! 24/7 coffee and even lemon water in the lobby. Pool table area in the lobby and good seating area for breakfast which was good too. Pancake maker, infamous cinnamon rolls and even salsa to put on my eggs. Pool area and exercise room were clean and nice too. Great restaurants that were almost walking distance like Texas Roadhouse,Cracker Barrel, Outback, Panera, Five Guys and Applebees as well as fast food too. Walmart and Target less than a mile away if you need anything you forgot. If you want the best burger go just a couple miles from hotel to the River Burger bar, cute downtown place with amazing food and drinks. I will only stay here from now on 1-2 times a year when I visit the area."

"The bathroom was fantastic and the shower with its ceiling hung fixture was a massive improvement over most showers in much more expensive hotels. Spacious bathroom as well. Bedroom and living space a little tighter but not bad at all. Two TVs—one in the living/workspace and one in the bedroom. I am more of an app guy so I’d like the option to just use my Prime or Netflix. The hotel is immense for Staunton but of course it was a curiously massive institution as well—especially for 1800s era. One is reminded of the mud flood theories out there. A very nice hotel. Has a nice bistro so no free shittty breakfast. But I say who needs it! I’d rather pay for something well sourced and good tasting. I’ll use the hotel again"

"The property is modern and well maintained. Parking was easy. Our room offered more space than we needed. We appreciated having a good size fridge that had a freezer. The only thing that detracted from our experience is how small breakfast area is. We had to wait for over 15 minutes to get some food as there was a huge line. We had to take our plates back to our room as there was not even one empty seat available. Otherwise, it was a good stay."

"The property is very clean and comfortable, I appreciated the grab bar in the tub for safety. The hotel is quite convenient to the Virginia Horse Center, and multiple places to eat or shop for necessities are nearby. I did find that the television service was just okay, a little hard to navigate, and the television itself was just so-so. The eggs at the breakfast service were mediocre but everything else was good."
