Interesting styling and a spacious room and bathroom made for a pleasant stay. Although I think it's a common, if not Italy-wide requirement, to provide a passport as a visitor to a guest's room, it's seldom enforced (based on my experience). I had a guest I wanted to invite to my room for a bit (not overnight) and the front desk required they hold my guests passport for the length of their visit. Of course my friend was not carrying their passport! Other than that, service was good and consistent.
Although I never felt unsafe, the area around the hotel is less than inviting. It's a bit rough and there are lots of trash dumpers around and tons of rental bikes & scooters littering the sidewalks.
