This property was just as advertised. It suited our family (3 teens and 2 parents) perfectly. The 49 bus stop was conveniently outside the property and the #46 was a 2 minute walk away. We used the bus service to access the center of Rome although we could have easily walked. Our stay was a short 3 day stay this combined with the oppressive August heat, we chose to use the public transit to get around. The metro was a quick 5 minute walk we used this to get to the Colosseum as it was easier and more direct than the bus. Many people have mentioned the number steps. We didn't find this a problem as it was not the only way to access the property. You do need to use these to get to the metro and the grocery store, but we did not find them an issue. The property is on the doorstep of the Vatican which was great as we spent our first day there and walked to the Vatican museum within minutes. We did have an issue with the sink in one of the bathrooms not draining but we contacted the host who came and fixed the issue on the day we reported it while we were out sightseeing. The property was air-conditioned which was much appreciated in the August heat. Additionally, the property comes with a well equipped kitchen so we were able to cut costs by making breakfast and lunches for our days out. We did not make any main meals, but there are enough pots, pans etcetera to do so if you wish. Overall a very pleasant stay, great communication with the hosts and we would definitely recommend.
