Lovely boutique accommodation at a reasonable pric
Lovely little boutique hotel. We had the triple room which was very roomy. The ladies on reception very helpful and the room was well maintained with glorious large windows overlooking the quaint streets below. A wonderful area for restaurants and bars and very walkable to the main attractions of Rome.

The amount of money they charged for a room with thin mattresses, stained comforters with blood, wallpapers coming off the walls, 1 pillow per person is ridiculous. They need major renovations. It is not worth the money they charged. Location was great but other than that find somewhere else.

Great stay at Relais. Super easy walk to Spanish Steps Trevi Fountain and the metro system to all of Rome. Surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Gisele was awesome!

The hostesses were wonderful. Made us feel most welcomed and like family. Very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel/apartment. Perfect location 2 minute walk to Spanish steps and great restaurants . Excellent

10/10 Property. Thank you Roberta and team. This was a great place to stay, in the heart of the city of Rome, all land marks were very close in walking distance. Spanish steps are about 2 blocks away. Loved it. Everything was great!

We do not exactly understand what you mean by writing “ You need a key to lock your door when you are inside” and we feel a little embarrassed about having to answer that the reason why you experienced key problems is that you tried to enter another guest house.Of course we apologise if at check-in we have not been able to adequately explain how to access your room. We always show all guests the simple 4 digit access code to the main door downstairs and we personally accompany them to their rooms showing how to use the keys. That is the reason why we were surprised when you called the emergency phone number. Reception was closed however our staff promptly came back to the Relais in order to provide you assistance and they found you trying to use your keys to access another guest house located in the same building. We regret that our instructions have been misunderstood and we will take your case as an example to improve communication with guests.Best RegardsRelais Bocca di Leone

Bamboozled by the pics.
Deceptive pics of this location. The room was so small we were stepping around each other. There were no blankets on the beds. It was like visiting a family member who has a spare room and beds were crammed in to accommodate everyone. The location was walking distance to the Spanish steps but other than that, I wouldn’t recommend this location for a family of four.

We loved this cute little hotel. It felt very homely, was spotlessly clean, the staff at Reception were helpful and because the Reception is not manned 24 hours a day, it felt like a home away from home. The location is fantastic, a 5 minute walk from the Spanish Steps, and the area is lively with lots of restaurants, cafe's, gelato shops and buskers so was a great area to stay and hang out. I will definitely be back to stay here and will highly recommend.

Best Choice for a stay in Rome
this is the perfect place to stay in Rome. You can easily walk to all the main attractions and food choices are never ending. The room was bigger than most and the cleanliness and presentation was excellent.

We got classic couple room, it was big with enough space. We had a huge bed and windows with the city view. We had a good time there and the service is really great.

Lovely room perfect location
Within a walk distance from everything Right on the Spanish stares restaurants and supermarket The only downside is the noise from the street staring at 5 am from the clinging car on the street so if you are a light sleeper take it in consideration.

The location was great, right next to the Spanish Steps and a short walk from Trevi Fountain and other sights, also the metro is close. A lot of very touristy restaurants in the area so I would eat a bit further afield towards the Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori. There are supermarkets very close also and an ATM on the Piazza di Spagna. The room was small but had everything I needed, good aircon, decent shower, things were generally clean. The mattress was extremely hard and nothing could be done about it. The staff was helpful and friendly and fixed the shower when asked. Quick to respond too. I found the walls to be paper thin and other guests were regularly noisy late at night (1-2am). The area itself was quiet and apart from that I slept well. There was mildew in the shower and the minibar. Could use some refurbishment. Safe in room worked perfectly. The entrance to the building feels slightly unsafe as the main door seems to be left open at all times, even late at night. I would stay here again, but small improvements could be made. A 4 star but only just.

The staff were a bunch of liars. They totally have control of the room air conditioning. It only turns on when they are present. We did not have any ac x 3 nights. We called them multiple times and cannot fix the problem because they were off site, overnight. They turned the ac on in the morning as we were leaving for more excursions and pretended they did not turn it on. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

So what you are saying is not correct. City break in Rome
Overall our stay here was good..We informed reception that the toilet set was lose and found the shower door to be missing a screw which left it difficult to manage. This was still the same when we left four days later. The location of this hotel is great close by to local attractions.

We stayed here for 2 nights and then one more night when we returned to Rome before flying home. This is a small hotel situated in a good area with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Short walk to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and the People's Piazza. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good beds and shower facilities. The only thing that good be improved is the air conditioning but then we did go when everyone was experiencing a high heat wave. Excellent time

Hotel staff were wonderful and location was very good. Very clean facilities. Only reason for the lrss than Excellent rating is due to the very poor air conditioning in our room. Our fault that we did not complain as friends in other rooms had no issues. Overall would stay here again.

Great Location and Friendly Staff
The check in was quick and the staff very friendly. They followed up with up before checking in providing us information on how to get to the hotel from the airport. The hotel location was great, walking distance to restaurants, shops, and various tourist sites. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a nice and pleasant stay.

Dear Guest, we are glad that you've appreaciated our location, just behind Spanish Steps, it's one of our streights. In regards of the negative review, we don't have central heating, since the property decided to remove them and place air conditioned in each room in order to allow each guest to set the right temperature according to their usage during the day and night, instead of having a central heating that the guest can't modify because related to the central administration of the building and activated just 4 hour in the morning and 2 in the evening. Having a hot&cold airco. the guest can choose the temperature they like during the whole day. We hope that our answer could help our next guest. Best regards Relais Bocca di Leone

Excellent hotel, great location
We stayed here 13th - 17th November. Hotel is in a great location, about 5 minute walk from the Spanish Steps and 10/15 minutes from Piazza del Popolo. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with maps and guides for the city. We stayed in the Via Condotti room, and we could not fault it, clean, comfortable with good facilities. the closest Metro station is about 5 minutes walk away so perfect for making your way around the city. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Good location very near to Spagna metro. All branded stuff near the hotel if you want to go shopping. Hotel reception located in level one by taking the vintage lift. You could hear the opening of doors very clearly as there’s no sound proof. Could hear Cars driving past early in the morning as they are unloading goods for the cafe next door.

Nice hotel walking distance to Spanish Steps
We loved the vibrant area where the hotel is located. We were able to walk to many sights. Restaurants were plentiful as well as up market shops.

Amazing view, location!
I love the view and location! Room is large and spacious. Water pressure is really great after a day at the beach. Mattress not the best for the price of the hotel. Seems like a small investment they could make to improve the quality of the stay. Will mention it to the front desk today and see if they can help me out. Other than that, excellent!

In the heart of downtown Rome
Room was small, but a great location, the Spanish Steps was just around the corner. Room in the heart of Rome downtown shopping, and lots of great restaurants. AC worked, so no room temperature complaints.

Fantastic and centralized place to stay on a budge
The staff was amazing, and the facility was extremely clean. They serve the breakfast to your room for you which was very nice. The room was spacious and well maintained. The only thing I could gripe on was that the outside area is quite loud since you are around a very buzzing spot, but you will get that with any hotel around this area.

Fantastic location and a quaint little hotel, which was perfect for our trip, because you we were right in the middle of the shopping and restaurant area. However, the confirmation from hotels.com talked about a coffee maker in the room, a day bed, and slippers - none of which were there! Also, one morning was spoiled when the next door neighbour started drilling his walls at 6.45am!
