First time in Rome
I was delayed a day getting in due to flight delays and they were very accommodating. Check in was easy. They texted the information. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Very well located near everything, which was perfect! Wish the air conditioning was a bit stronger. Check out was easy, they texted information. You’re pretty much on your own, which was fine for me, but if you’re looking to have someone help you with suggestions then no. I thought the pizza restaurant directly across the street delicious.

No hot water. No attendant to assist. Bad lighting for makeup. Offered a shuttle service from airport but never showed. Did I mention NO HOT WATER for 2 days.

Honestly very disappointed in the stay. Check in was a nightmare. There is a hotel with the same name across the street. We went there then they sent us to the right place where it took forever to get buzzed in and then we had to figure out which floor the hotel was on. The floor hallway had no power at check in. We got buzzed in and we’re told just to leave our bags at the front desk and the security camera would “watch them”. The Wi-Fi would cut out so much I couldn’t use my laptop. We stayed in the “jacuzzi room” thinking it was an extra. It was a tub instead of the shower. For what we got 295 euro a night is absolute robbery. If you’re used to any type of American hotels go elsewhere. Also at check out no one was available so we had to pay via PayPal. Very sketchy.

It was in a very convenient location and the check-in process was very easy. We stayed for a night and the host recommended us a great trattoria for dinner. The faucet was a little drippy at night but we were so tired we were able to sleep though it.

Relais Colonna was a conveniently located and lovely, unique stay in Rome! It was within walking distance to all of the main attractions in Rome (30min to Colosseum, 20 min to Vatican, 15 min to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon). There were also lots of restaurant options right on the same street, and plenty others within 10 mins. I had read some bad reviews on the check in process and staff. They do email you an online check in form to fill out, which makes the process quicker! Also, we had texted Gianluca on WhatsApp when we planned to arrive. He was outside waiting for us, helped us bring our bags up and was very friendly and helpful! They are not a typical hotel, so if you just anticipate this and stay in touch via WhatsApp, you'll be fine! Gianluca gaves us lots of good tips, restaurant recommendations and a helpful map and directions of how to reach various locations. The room was a little small, but the bed was comfortable! We booked the room with the Spa tub option, which was nice to have after long days of walking through Rome!

Interesting hotel room in a good, quiet location with lots of restaurants around. Check-in was not easy, we had some difficulty finding the hotel, and ended up standing out in the rain waiting for some to let us in. Although the listing says the front desk is manned during the day, we never saw anyone the whole time we were there. Everything we needed required a phone call to Gianluca, who was accomodating. The bath was in need of maintenance, with the sink backed up and the toilet running the whole time. All that said, the nightly rate was low for Rome, so if you want to be in Prati and are on a budget, this is a good option.

1.2KM from Spagna subway station. Close to many attractions. Lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Hotel needs to provide better directions on how to reach them.

Super basic place. I wouldn't really call it a hotel: it's 4 rooms in one floor in a building. There was no signage. Expedia didn't provide a phone number. I called the number I found from Google and it was the wrong Relais Colonna. Luckily, a random dude on the street told us to go to the first floor. The manager who checked us in seems very nice, but there was hardly anyone there except when we checked in. The shower was pretty moldy, and I found out why: it was a bananas shower that sprays you from 10 different directions like a circus elephant. Our TP wasn't refilled, which was bad news when you have a stomach ache from the pizza place across the street. there was a bit of an odd smell overall. A bit like mold cologne. we only got one blanket and 2 very thin pillows. Very good Wifi connection, came in handy. Overall, it was OK.

This is not a hotel but a huge disappointment
This was a total disappointment. There is no lobby, no 24/7 staffing at front desk- you let yourself in with a key to the building and lobby. No bathroom in the non-existent lobby. There is not a shower but a giant bathtub with a hand held sprayer of cold water. The hair dryer did not work. The previous guests in our room were smoking in what was designated as a non smoking room. Minimal lighting, no air controls. Breakfast was supposed to be included, which was instead a voucher for coffee and a stale pastry across the street at a small, dirty cafe. We left a necklace behind and instead of the hotel contacting us to let us know that they found it, we had to contact them. When we asked if they would send it to us, they ignored our emails. Sending our necklace back to us was the least they could do given what little was provided for the money we paid.

Relais Colonna October 2019
Relais Colonna was fantastic. We were contacted before our arrival by Marcello, who handled our transfers to and from the airport. He was also genuinely interested in what we had planned during our stay and gave us many tips on the best ways to reach our various destinations in Rome. Additionally, Marcello provided information on some of the best food and sights in the city. We looked forward to sharing our experiences with him as we progressed through our stay. The rooms were modern and very clean! We had all the amenities that one could ask for, from free Wifi to air conditioning and even Netflix in the rooms! We would definitely stay at Relais Colonna again.

Quick Rome stay
Accommodation was very nice. Room was very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Due to delayed flights we arrived much later than planned but we were able to communicate changes to staff and they had our room all ready and waiting for us through a very easy self check in process. We were able to take care of formal check in the following morning.

The hotel is very modern and clean. The receptionist works between two different buildings and have to run back and forth so they aren’t always there but they give you their cell phone numbers to text them.

When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome! We were given plenty of suggestions of what we could do during our stay. Our room was tastfully decorated with everything you would expect and need from a hotel room with an added bonus of having Netflix and Amazon Prime on the T.V. The location was good for the hotel being walking distance from the Vatican City and walking is possible from the Roma Termini train station. Our only issues were the wall thickness between rooms and we would have loved curtains that blocked a little more sunlight out. The external road/city noise was excellent, couldn’t hear anything but internal noise wasn’t great if someone talked or walked (or farted) after 10/11pm. That wouldn’t put me off coming back or recommending the hotel. Fantastic stay, thank you.

It was in a great location, every tourist attraction was with walking distance and it was away from the busyness of the night life. We had a great time and would definitely come back. We were abit confused about whether We could have the any of the coffees and teas without being charged. One card within the room said they were free another said you had to pay.

Great room in a convenient location
We stayed in the room with couples spa tub, it was a lovely way to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The staff was very helpful, and even sent someone downstairs to meet us as we were a bit lost trying to find the venue. They even took the time to give us a map and tell us where the best places were to get a great view of the city. We also appreciated the entertainment, our television had full access to Netflix and Amazon prime channels. Overall, I would recommend this venue, and definitely would stay here again.

Fantastic find - definitely returning!
Beyond our expectations. Greeted when we arrived by thr manager He was incredibly helpful. Hotel located right in the middle of all the attractions so no need for buses etc. Couldn’t be better! Bathroom very well appointed and spotless. Bedroom stylish with everything you could need including Netflix and a nespresso machine!! Free breakfast had shown on my booking but the hotel were not aware of this. They very kindly arranged the breakfast for us anyway. Breakfast is in a very authentic smart Italian restaurant in the building opposite. Coffee, orange juice, freshly baked croissant and bread rolls. Delicious.

Very small really as pictures look alot bigger on web site we stayed in room B and it could do with an upgrade or painting etc as looked tired , the shower needs re grouting as mould on there i would say for them to change pictures as really is would be better as money paid for a bedroom sized room was pretty expensive

The hotel was a lovely place to relax after sightseeing all day - the hotel was in close distance to most of the sights in Rome, the friendly staff recommended good places to eat and visit during our stay, provided us with a map and highlighted them. Can not fault our stay and will definitely return.

Pleasant Stay
Overall a pleasant place to stay. The location is good and the management very helpful.It's basically a guest house that occupies a few rooms in a large old building.The interior is pleasant and functional but lacks a real hotel feel. Rooms we had are OK size helped by high ceilings but natural light was limited as windows faced into an inner courtyard. The bed was a bit low and being memory foam a bit uncomfortable we felt, Tv whilst a good size did not appear to have any UK channels. The shower was a bit small but OK for a few nights. Great to have a few toiletries supplied but the sachets are just not big enough, better to reduce the other freebies and improve here I would say. Was a good deal for a few nights, a few tweaks could make it better.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The downside is that they are not always at the premises and you have to look for them. There is no outside view from the room which makes it a little dark. However the bonus of this it is quiet except from noisy neighbouring rooms on occasion. The towel rail wasn t on so your towels are always dump. Otherwise the room is spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed covers smelled of stale slightly.There could be more light in the bathroom as difficult to put make up on.

Sehr schönes Zimmer, vorm Haus steht ein Portier und wenn er nicht da ist ist die große schwere Tür zu und kann nur mit Schlüssel geöffnet werden was doch mitten in Rom viel Sicherheit bietet. Auch der Whirlpool ist sehr schön und man kann sich vom stressigen Tag erholen. Man geht vor die Tür und steht schon mitten in Rom. Gianluca ist ein sehr netter Vermieter. Gern mal wieder.

Excelente ubicación, todo de muy fácil acceso y fácil de moverse, la habitación muy amplia y limpia, aunque la cama estaba roto, mal arreglada con cinta y muy incómoda, les hace falta mantenimiento, varias cosas estaban en mal estado.
