Comfortable Apartment

Well appointed, spacious apartment with all you will need for a comfortable stay. Away from the congestion of tourists yet close enough to the main sights to walk or take a short ride. There are also excellent restaurants and a supermarket close by too.

Beautiful apt in Rome

Best apt of our entire 6 weeks in Europe. Great location in an excellent neighbourhood. Hal was a delight to deal with & the beautiful ground floor apt had everything we could need. Also, a delightful private patio right outside the front door. Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay in Rome was. If we make it back to Rome, we wîll definitely stay here again. 😊

Lovely apartment for a wonderful stay

Beautiful apartment and excellent host.

We had a wonderful stay at 9 via Nicolò Porpora. The apartment is lovely and the host, Hal MacMillan, graciously introduced us to the neighborhood. Having the beautiful Giardino Borghese so close and excellent restaurants, especially the Rossini's, made the stay perfect for us. I hope to return! Carol and Paul

5 day stay in Rome

Well located in a lovely, quiet and safe neighbourhood. A few minutes from the beautiful Villa Borgheze and close to bus transport to Termini. The apartment was everything we hoped for. Spacious and beautifully decorated. We loved having breakfast in the outdoor space each morning. The security was amazing - no possibility of a break in while we were out exploring Rome. Thank you Hal for helping us to have a wonderful Rome experience.

Get away in Rome

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The property is lovely, the neighborhood is excellent and Hal is charming to work with. The apartment is well appointed, the best part is the lovely private patio. This property is close to the Villa Borghese and there is a lovely, large park for strolling, running etc. It is about a mile to the Spanish steps. This is a quiet upscale neighborhood away from the chaos of top attractions. it is not the easiest to get to everything (we used cabs but it is about 1.5 -2 miles from Coloseum/Vatican but there are close metro and bus stations. If you want to just relax in a safe, quiet area of Rome, stroll to the local taverna for dinner and have coffee at leisurely pace, this place is perfect. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful stay!

What a beautiful apartment in an outstanding neighborhood. Hal is such a kind and thoughtful host! He gave us a great tour of the neighborhood upon our arrival which was so helpful. The apartment has everything you need and is quiet and cozy. The location near the park with outstanding restaurants, grocery store and wine store were perfect! We would definitely stay here again and cannot recommend Hal as a host highly enough!

Fantastic large apartment in a great location

This is a fantastic large beautiful apartment in a great area. So many options with bus and tram routes so close. Hal the owner was so helpful, from the moment we commenced the booking until we left after our stay. Hal recommended some local restaurants which were very good and even took the time to book one for my husband and myself for a very special night . The location to the Borghese gardens also allows you to walk to some of Romes famous sites.

Perfect Stay in Rome

We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if and when we make it back to Rome. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, clean and well appointed. Hal was super communicative and helpful and even gave us a wonderful recommendation for nearby food that we fell in love with and went to each day! This is a more residential quiet part of Rome which we loved. It is still within walking distance of all the main attractions. The neighborhood is beautiful and it felt like spending a week living as a local. Can’t recommend enough!

Amazing property and host!

Wow-this property is beautiful and relaxing. It felt clean, had a nice outside space to chill in, and comfortable furniture. The neighborhood was very safe and convenient for restaurants, stores, and bus/tram stops. Hal made our time in Rome so stress free-he took us on a tour of the neighborhood and helped us with a restaurant for dinner for our first night. He was kind, communicative, and hospitable. We would love to come back and stay here again!

A true gem of a stay

Outstanding apartment/small bottom floor villa in a quite neighborhood. Your love the birds singing to your awakening in the morning. Well equipped and with a very private courtyard you can enjoy a wonderful glass of wine & cheese from nearby grocery stores. Banks close by. Oasis in the Ancient city

Brilliant venue, excellent host. This amazing find is a treasure, away from the tourist crowds you can enjoy some tranquility eating in local restaurants exploring the fresh fruit and vege markets relaxing in the stunning courtyard with jasmin hydrangeas hibiscus and palms. Yet only a short taxi bus or tram trip to the centre of everything. We loved every minute thank you Hal. It was sensational.

There is really not more to say other than the only thing better than the property (beautiful, in a great neighborhood, easy access to mass transit) is the owner. Hal makes everything so much easier in every way possible.

Home in Rome

Hal made us feel right at home. We felt so comfortable navigating the neighborhood after our tour. We are walkers and walked to most sights. With Hal’s initial help we took tram to Vatican. If I visit again I would stay here. You will not be disappointed. Also the bed was very comfortable. Hal also taught us how to work washing machine and appliances. This is a quite neighborhood and great pLace to relax after a busy day.

Perfect!

We were in Rome for a week to attend a wedding at the end of June. We could not have been more pleased with this property and particularly the host, Hal. Hal went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasurable one. The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed visiting the neighborhood restaurants and shops, away from the tourist areas. The property was clean and spacious and we had everything we needed during our stay. Our 21 year old son slept on the pull-out sofa with no complaints. If life ever brings us back to Rome, we will definitely stay here again.

Awesome place to stay

Apartment was a great place to stay. We loved the private courtyard and spent a lot of time there after hours of sightseeing. Hal was wonderful. Although washing machine was broken, Hal made it right by having his housekeeper take care of it at no extra charge. I also had a medical emergency on a day trip to Positano and he made our life so much easier by letting us stay an extra night to make early arrangements home. Hal is our hero. Thank you. We look forward to our stay again in two years.

Can't wait to stay here next time we're in Rome

I'm not sure that this qualifies as a review per se, as due to unforeseen circumstances my husband and I had to cancel our plans to travel to Rome, and never actually got to stay here. But I wanted to write something about our correspondence with Hal, the owner, which has truly been 5 star. He has answered all our questions promptly, been warm and welcoming, and - when it turned out we had to cancel - made the whole process very easy and stress free. We look forward to re-booking with him for our next trip to Rome.
