"The hotel itself is very good, breakfast was a highlight and rooms are very good. The main issue we found were weddings, both days take over the hotel area for periods and are noisy at night; and the leisure facilities were terrible, we had to go as the pool is a main focus for our daughter, but the changing facilities were filthy, broken, the pool area is tired and we felt unwelcome by one particular person giving swimming lessons as if we were in the way."

"This hotel is a great location but it felt a little worn down and cramped and the parking was a bit of a nightmare. The rooms were beautiful but the view onto the street not so much. Breakfast was just okay. We only stayed here one night but compared to all the other fabulous stays we had in Ireland, I would not return to this hotel. We did love that they gave us bags of O’Donnell’s potato chips - the best potato chips we had in Ireland. That was a nice touch."

"This place is currently undergoing renovations. The lobby is looking much better, but the brooms are very old and dated. We particularly dislike the bathrooms. Here’s a picture of our bathroom. The glass enclosure won’t stay shut causing water to lay on the floor. The body wash is empty. The shower controls require a manual to operate. Even the counter sink has old-style faucets. On a positive note, the gym was spacious and well-equipped. However, the only towels available in the gym are meant for the pool, you need to buzz an attendant to get in and the tv screen in front of the exercise bikes is a lovely shade of blue. Tip: If you’re going to have the tv on with no sound it’s nice to turn closed captioned on so people exercising don’t have to lip read. The morning breakfast was basic but nice although someone asked to verify our room number three times. The dining area felt a bit clinical kind of like a seniors home. Downtown Westport was a 15 minute walk away but over a hiily street."

"I liked the staff. They were helpful. However, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the spa. Unfortunately, I didn’t arrive to the hotel and get checked in until about 7:15 or 7:30. I immediately went to the spa for a soak and sauna but discovered it closed at 8:00. I couldn’t use the pool as I didn't have a bathing cap. I could use the hot tub but half the jets didn’t work. I never made it into the sauna or steam room. Breakfast was included, which is lovely. The meal was good but I had to pay extra for smoked salmon. I also found the parking to have very limited space. It was difficult to maneuver in such limited space."

"We travelled as a group of three motorcyclists and were very pleased to see the parking facilities on arrival. As a biker you always want to know your bike is parked in a safe place. A short taxi ride to the town and great food available in the town and some lively bars to add to the atmosphere.The owners of the Hotel were very helpful. A nice property with lovely clean rooms and a great breakfast too. I would definitely recommend."
