"So surprised at this place, did not expect as much as it had to offer, it was beautiful! Food was delicious, staff friendly, everything you’d expect from an Irish hotel. Breakfast was the best (apart from my sisters house) I’ve had on my whole three week trip, through various parts of the country. Pauline, my breakfast waitress was excellent, courteous, friendly and had a word for everyone she met. A treasure."

"Our 3-night stay was absolutely ideal and would stay longer next time. We were two adults and two teenage girls; all of us had an amazing time. The house is immaculate and very well appointed. Deidre has done a tremendous job making sure everything you need is there. A stop at the local CO-OP for some groceries and we were all set. The surrounding views from the house are like something you might see on a postcard. We would have enjoyed just sitting in the house and taking it in, but a walk to the ocean and the cliffs behind the house is a must. We spent multiple hours walking along the cliffs. Wow! Spectacular! We tore ourselves away one time to visit Mizen Head which was certainly worth the drive. The highlight of our stay was spending time with John helping milk the cows. OK, we really weren't any help, but it was such a treat and he is a gem. Our two teenage girls are not the "outdoorsy" types, but they had the time of their lives. No cell phones needed. Thank you, Deirdre and John, for sharing this special place."

"Nestled in the quaint village of Rosscarbery, it was close to everything around the square, accommodations were clean and complete. We used it as a base for travels to both the west and east. Parking was a bit dicey for us Americans but was not an issue. Loved the people, the pubs, restaurants and the businesses."

"Hard to imagine a more unique and exciting way to experience Ireland than in this amazing VRBO. The castle has an unsurpassed 360 degree views of the water and farmland. Inside, it has the modern conveniences you need while maintaining a rustic atmosphere. The stairs can be a challenge yet the views from the modern upstairs bedroom is worth the risk. Everything was clean, warm and comfortable. Good directions and easy to find on the map. Excellent Wifi throughout. Highly recommend for a once-in-a-lifetime lodging experience."
