"The Villa Marina is run by two of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. Vince and Erwan were amazing hosts who would do anything to ensure you had a wonderful stay. The hotel is super clean, the breakfasts ensured lunch may not be required! A location not far from the sea or town centre and an overall lovely atmosphere. "Hotel main areas were well kept. Bedroom was a little tired, and needs tidying up/ updating. Breakfast was really good, so was the evening meal. Cost for the room was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking cost £10 a night. Question would be would we stay again, the answer is yes."

"Lovely guest house in a quiet area, but just a few minutes walk from the sea front We received a lovely warm welcome from Lynn & Scott Our room with an en suite bathroom with a shower was lovely fresh & clean The bed and pillows were super comfortable We were there to celebrate my husband’s 65th birthday and a card & celebration banner were left in the room. Such a nice touch and so thoughtful Breakfast the following morning was delicious and very substantial Fruit juice, tea & coffee, cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, toast & a very tasty full English cooked breakfast. We will certainly stay here again when visiting lovely Babbacombe and would highly recommend Babbacombe Palms Guest House"

"Our first mini break away alone, in 13 years and it didn't dissapoint. Anne is the most lovely host, so organised, courteous and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We were a little hot in the small double room, however Anne quickly provided a fan that assisted well. Breakfast was very tasty and scheduled for a time to suit us. Anne was very accommodating to my intolerances and catered with alternative milk and yoghurt. When booking I was unsure if booking the pool would be inconvenient, if plans changed and did think why did they not have the pool open at all times. However, when we were there it all made sense. You book your time slot for your 2 hour private session, with your selection of music, Anne was kind enough to bring us water & icecream during too. It would not have been the same tranquil experience if we would have been in the pool with others. The pool and poolside was extremely clean. The pool was warm at 30degrees. The whole atmosphere of the house and garden was tranquil and relaxing, it truly gave spa vibes. It was just what we were looking for. We did think you could do some costal walks directly from the house but that was my mistake for not looking into this more. However, everywhere was so close by car. We visited Babbicombe, Totnes, Torquay, Teignmouth, Mary Church and Dawlish. Please follow the directions to the house that are sent to you as we got to the bottom of the road (the wrong end) and it was very dangerous to drive up."
