"okay so let's start with cleanliness. it's obvious the house wasn't cleaned before we got there or the sheets. The bed sheets smelled dusty and the bathroom smelled like urine. The shower had someone's else hair on the walls and floor. The pool was not heated even though it did say it was. There's no tv which was okay to disconnect. there's no AC which was fine since it was cool at night and they did provide a fan. definitely make sure to stop by the supermarket to get food because restaurants...

"This stunning villa is undoubtedly one of the top three places we've ever stayed! We absolutely loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. "Na verblijf was één grote tegenvaller. Het lijkt op de website alsof je in het Pink House verblijft, met gebruik van de keuken, maar dat was niet het geval. Eerst moesten we een half uur wachten omdat de eigenaar de boeking niet had gezien. We kregen daarna een zeer eenvoudige en niet erg schone kamer met alleen een tafel en een koelkast. "The hotel room was fine. Not at all like was shown in the pictures. Mold in the corners of the room. The bathroom window, which opened out on to a corridor wouldn't lock either. The shower was hot or cold and the room lacked basics like a full length mirror or anywhere to hang clothes. The room had a small private terrace (which was overlooked by someone's bathroom). On the final night, loud music was being played from 2am until 3am. The rooms were very clean. Staff were reasonably friendly...

"This property was absolutely amazing. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I loved the amenities. It was very clean and comfortable. The amenities are extremely close and the pool and hottub were well kept. The lake was wonderful to swim in, and I enjoyed kayaking. The nearby restaurant was great. The owner of the property was very accessible and friendly, and she even provided contacts for local tours, private boats, and cuisine. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!"

"The home is set out of town and you need to make sure you have transportation planned to go to and from as it's not near areas most would want to visit. 2 very friendly and playful dogs kept up entertained."

"This property is centrally located and has acres to Pana and the lake. The only drawback is proximity to a Texaco station which plays music very loud, pretty much all day. Since we were exploring we didn’t mind that. But if you are a homebody it might be hard. "

"I have never been to a hotel with staff this wonderful. The views are idealic. The restaurant on site was excellent and a good value. We felt at home very quickly. The hotel only has 10 total rooms. We were able to chop it up and meet other guests. A+. Staff always cheerful and helpful! I only have one complaint that is the same at every other hotel I have stayed at around Lake Atitlan. That complaint is the dogs! They are barking all night and here is a disco which can get rather loud. The hotel actually has ear plugs laid out for guests when they checkin. "

"Just a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from both Panajachel and Santa Catarina Palopó, the location is super convenient yet tucked away in a quiet, peaceful area where you’ll truly find relaxation. I stayed in the Iguana room, which was great. It doesn’t have a fridge, but the restaurant and kitchen area downstairs can keep your items refrigerated if needed. Very practical! Although I didn’t get a chance to try the bar, I had dinner at the restaurant and was impressed—the Syrian dish was absolutely exquisite and paired perfectly with the wine I brought. (There’s a Q50 corkage fee, which I found very reasonable given the quality of the food and the priceless view). The property also has a traditional Mayan sauna, which I didn’t get to try this time but definitely will in the future. It’s all done in a traditional, manual way, so you need to arrange it in advance. I highly recommend guests take advantage of this unique and relaxing experience in nature. And finally, a big thank-you to Federico (Argentina), Andrea (Colombia), and Stephanie (Honduras)—such a warm, kind, and welcoming team. A lovely melting pot of hospitality!"
