The room had a strong musty smell, which made it feel damp and unpleasant from the moment we arrived. Not all of the staff were friendly or welcoming. In particular, the employees at the Sports Bar, Room Service, and some of the buffet chefs came across as rude and uninterested in providing good customer service. The pools were also not as clean as expected, which was disappointing for a resort of this category. Overall, the experience did not meet the standards I expected from RIU, and I hope these issues are addressed to improve future guests’ stays.
