Extremely Disappointing — Elite in Name Only I stayed at Riu Palace Macao in an Elite Club room, and the hospitality and overall experience were extremely disappointing. The room had significant rust and corrosion on multiple pieces of furniture and fixtures. I also found black spotting inside several light fixtures that appeared to be possible mold or moisture buildup. I showed reception photos and repeatedly asked to see another Elite room before packing and moving. Instead of addressing my request, I was brushed off and told maintenance would come. After waiting, maintenance arrived. I asked if all the rooms had this corrosion and was told yes. I specifically asked if another room would have the same problem, and again was told all rooms were like this. When I pointed out the black spotting and said it looked like mold, the employee ran his finger across it and told me it was “fine.” Beyond the room, the hospitality was simply poor. Staff often seemed indifferent rather than welcoming or eager to resolve concerns, and room service food was terrible. I spent too much of my vacation trying to get basic concerns addressed. Paying extra for Elite Club made the experience even more disappointing. Nothing about the service, room condition, or hospitality felt Elite. I would not return.

Everything was wonderful. Food quality could be better but that is a DR thing.
