Palmetto Beachfront Hotel, a By the Sea Resort

8/10 Good

"Slow elevator, one broken. Carpet in room dirty. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Pool is great but people put towels on lounge chairs to reserve them and then went down to the beach to swim. I saw this several times. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and I would stay again."

"Great place for the price. The rooms were okay. Not sure about the carpet. It rained a lot and caused a backup somewhere which we had to wade through. The elevators were also acting up. Other than that... we enjoyed our stay. The pool and beach area were clean. The food at the restaurant was good too. 👍"

"Room was clean, breakfast was good, room service staff was very nice. Didn't receive 5 starts because we asked for extra blankets and front desk Dorien didn't feel like we needed one blanket per person. She gave us an attitude when I called for an extra sheet set, told me she wasn't sending up any more linens and hung up on me. Other then that, stay was good."

"Beautiful Hotel with poor service. We tried to use the hotel business computer but no one on staff had the password. Informed it was broken but the open page asked for a user name and password. We stayed for a week and our bed was made up only one time, one day we had no cleaning service or clean towels or in our room. I had to go to the front desk because no one answered the phone. I asked for towels, 30 minutes later I had to go back down to the front desk to ask for towels again, because once again no one answered the phone. There was sand all over the floor which was never vacuumed up the entire time we were there. We tried to get coffee from the kitchen one evening which we were told we don't fix coffee in the evening. I'm retired military and used to stay at Embassy Suites every time I went TDY. Judging this hotel's standards things have changed not in a good way."
