"Let me say, the only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 is simply because we could feel the racism from the staff as Honduran-Americans over more “American” looking guests. It was very hurtful and did not make me feel comfortable as a guest in the hotel. Other than that, the place itself is beyond gorgeous and when my family and I were alone swimming we had lots of fun. The kayak staff was incredibly friendly though and an amazing person! I would recommend staying here but be aware that unless you’re speaking in English, lots of staff including the snack shop cashier and the receptionist will treat you like they’re annoyed at your mere presence."

"Mr Tucan is in a prime location; right across from the beautiful beach plus restaurants, shops, tours and activities, grocery stores, etc. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. Finally, the breakfasts in the café are delicious, healthy, and wait staff is lovely."

"This Cabana was as advertised! Everthing inside and out worked. Miriam was on top of anything we needed.Easy walk down the beach to places to eat. Dock was great to snorkel from.Can watch the dolphins from the dock! About a 10-20 minute drive to most activities! West End and Bay beaches, zipline! "

"We had a wonderful stay. The place was quite large with a well appointed and stocked kitchen. Bed and bath were very large and comfortable. The main deck was a favorite for morning coffee, meals, and watching the sunset. The private pool was also a stand out feature. We used the kayaks and paddle board quite frequently. Great snorkling just off shore."

"I’m so relaxed. This house facilitated the recovery from a hectic life that we all needed. Being on the quiet Sandy Bay beach, watching the ocean from the glorious deck, falling asleep in the hammock… just magic. The house itself is great… not the fanciest, but pretty cool nonetheless. We will be back."
