We stayed at this hotel in 2017 on our honeymoon and it was lovely back then, but our opinion is that the standards have all slipped. We found it unclean (bugs in the bed, standard of cleaning, replacement of towels, bathroom mould), the facilities were not of the standard you'd expect for the money (breakfast, pool bar, WiFi, laundry services, air con, toiletries etc.) and we ended up leaving early as a result. It's a shame as it used to be a nice hotel, but it's as though they have done no maintenance or upkeep in 5 years and have cut corners. When we complained the venue disagreed with us even though we have photos and videos, and said in a patronising way they were 'thrilled with our attitude' - so despite us sending a calm complaint we got an unprofessional response and won't be staying there again.

Would not recommend at all, there was something in the ceiling of our room. Every night it was scratching and running around which kept us awake but was a massive concern. It sounded like there were multiple rats in there and the walls. We also had an issue with ants in the room which were over the bed and wall. Staff were not interested in the issue of the rats asking if the noise was a lion. The bed which was claimed as queen size was two terrible single beds pushed together. There was a bottle of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom that were either covered in soap or left open. There was also some rubbish left on the side as we checked in too. We left early in the end and paid for another hotel.

Esperidi Resort was excellent, the property was beautiful, with lemon trees and greenery everywhere. Our cabin was quaint and comfortable. The shower was nice but the drain would clog everytime we showered. The pool was very nice and relaxing but the bar never opened. They didn't have a restaurant, only a dining room for the continental breakfast. Gigi, at reception was wonderful, very helpful, friendly and funny. He recommended the boat tour to Capri which was an incredible experience, I highly recommend this tour. He also recommended Trattoria Da Emilia in Sorrento which was delicious and the location was gorgeous. I would definitely come back to stay at Esperidi, and will recommend to friends and family.

Left after 2 nights of 7 night stay.
Last room in the village, Dusty (wife got sick), Damaged walls, Mould in bathroom, No tea/coffee and No internet except in lobby (my fault but 2022? Really!) Like a caravan park accom, Breakfast meat was off, Hot water for coffee wasn’t hot, Glasses all shapes and sizes showing they are broke and cutting corners Restaurant closed Bar closed Owner came in and took over tv in lobby when I was watching Power points were dodgy Hair dryer worked but was scary and pp fell out when taking it off Beds were of the 50s with buttons in them which stuck in your back Ants at breakfast table and floor Nowhere near anything. Broken doors in cupboards Pillows like rocks Dooner was just a shell and smelly Everything was old Pictures are deceiving on site Wife sick with dust we had to leave and go elsewhere Had to ask for toilet paper 4 shampoos and no soap. Very unhygienic hotel
Worst hygiene. Mould in bathroom, damp in room, no soap provided, breakfast paper table cloths not changed in our entire stay, dirty cutlery, room full of mosquitoes. In addition reception played very loud music in the early hours meaning we didn’t sleep.

The pool was great but the hours were way too short. It only opens at 10 am and closed at 6 pm. I like working out early and my kids like swimming after dinner. The breakfast was fine with a nice cappuccino machine for all your coffee types.

We had a lovely time here, and the staff were super helpful, attentive and friendly. We did have a loose door handle on the bathroom and they came and fixed it within minutes of us letting them know. I would recommend travellers bring a bug/mosquito repellent if travelling in summer/august as there are a lot of mosquitoes in the area. Beware of the table clothes in the breakfast room as they were hiding under there, we sat outside which was lovely. They were also very helpful with suggestions on where to go, and had lovely Prosecco which we enjoyed and would highly recommend. We definitely did like your Prosecco!

We were disappointed with his "resort" but still had a good time. I would only recommend if you are getting a great deal and are well prepared. Here was our experience. Cons There really is limited Wifi (near the pool). Parking (reserved in advance at 15eur/day) Questionable cleaning: Extra pillows in cupboard were clearly not washed between visitors - they smelled so bad. We also found items under the couch and bed. Mold in the bathroom and shower. You get one key to lock the door and it is also the only way to lock from the inside. There is no restaurant beyond the "breakfast" they offer from 7am-10am which was awful. No bar except for the Snack bar open at the pool (open 10am-6pm). There is nothing to do at the resort at night after the pool closes. No music, nothing. Smoke detector in our room was missing. No "do not disturb " sign provided. I made one which they ignored once, and proceeded to put the stinky pillow I mentioned above ON the bed. I slept with a towel down that night. Pros The grounds are lovely and well kept. Great location! Amazing views, tasty restaurants and a grocery stire within a short walk. Easy access to Sorrento markets, tours, Pompeii etc. Decently spacious room (family suite). Mini fridge in room. ThePool! My kids had a blast. Not too busy and a fuse ball table in the seating area. Staff was nice, even if spread too thin. The young man working in the pool area was kind and attentive while our not-so-strong swimmers were in the pool.

My family loved staying at this resort. We stayed in a villa that gave us space inside and out. We even had our own private yard with citrus trees! The location was great-just outside the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, but close enough to walk there, close to an amazing beach, and walking distance from the train and bus stations. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend!

Much better than expected, highly recommended!
I was a little unsure what to expect before arrival having read some reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a Luxury Studio and it was very nice. Really spacious, had been recently renovated, the outdoor space and furniture was very good. Air con was excellent and really quite. Bathroom, shower pressure, water temp and quality of towels etc. was excellent. The pool area is really nice and there was always plenty of sunbeds available, even for the first weekend of August. The only downside is there is no food available onsite (apart from breakfast). I really think Esperidi a missing a trick not having at least a snack menu available for lunch at the pool. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but was mediocre. There are plenty of good restaurants and a couple of good bars nearby that are better quality and less busy than the restaurants in the centre of Sorrento. Overall I would highly recommend Esperidi Resort for a stay in the Sorrento area.

One of the worst ive stayed at. No soap or shampoo, wet towels, awful black mold thru out shower, light bulbs out, holes in sheets, old mattress pad was the blanket, sink didnt drain. We checked out a day early. It may have beed okay in its prime, but it is a sad place now. Avoid this one!!

Nice idea just unfinished. Pool saved the resort to escape heat, air con was brilliant in room. Bed was uncomfortable, room wasnt cleaned properly from previous guest (hair on floor etc). Couldnt use wardrobe as it smelt fusty. Bathroom - leaking shower and an odd layout.

Pay a little more and stay somewhere else
Upon arrival the gentlemen at the front desk were very kind and attentive to getting us checked in and into our room. One gentleman even helped with our bags. The front desk area and lounge area are great. Our bungalow room was extremely small. There was just enough room to walk around the bed. Luckily we were able to put our suitcases and things under the bed and also in the standup closet that was provided. The bathroom was also tiny. The shower was maybe two feet across. On a positive note, the water in the shower was always hot and a good pressure! Breakfast is not included and costs eight euro. We walked to the pastry shop about 8 minutes away. We were traveling with two other families that had children...all the children were interested in was getting in the pool. The pool hours are 9-6 and after a day of sightseeing we only made it back once for them to get in very shortly. The day we were scheduled to check out we planned to let the children play in the pool. The lady at the front desk had told me the night before that the pool would be open that day from 9-6. At 9AM we were told that the pool was closed because it “might” rain, which was a total shock to us because the sun was shining and did the rest of the day. Needless to say all of our children were extremely upset as were we. The hotel would have made much profit from the pool bar and the lounge bar had they been more kind and accommodating to our needs.

Great little resort
We stayed here for 6 nights. Originally I had booked just a bed and ensuite, however upon arrival it was pretty much a glorified shed with simply a bed, toilet and shower, small wardrobe and TV. There was nothing wrong with it but not really what we were looking for so in the morning we asked to upgrade and were taken to an apartment which was lovely. Nice spacious bathroom, bedroom was great - comfy bed, working TV that even got some English on the go! Then there was the kitchenette/ lounging area which had 2 single beds and a table with chairs. Kitchen was basic with a fridge and 2 cooking rings but was fine for what we used it for. Then you had a little patio with a small table and chairs. Pool was lovely. Plenty of loungers and a little bar area (drinks a little expensive) The resort have their own on site restaurant ( closed Monday's) which was cheap and cheerful. Also offer a cooking school which we were tempted by. The location was good. Supermarket 10mins walk, cash point right next to train station for San A'gnello 15 mins walk. The train took a 5 min journey into Sorrento town.

Past its Best
This has the potential to be a lovely resort - but it needs some money spent on it and a few more staff and some more facilities. The few staff did their best but were overworked and far too stretched to cope. There was no where on site to get any food, and just a small lounge was the only rest area.. The pool was freezing. Also the rooms needed some maintenance - and when we arrived late at night even though I had requested kettles and a cot neither were provided. I had booked two apartments but we were not placed together - and one was meant to be for two adults and a child with cooking facilities but it was the same size as mine with just a double bed and a two ring stove in a cupboard! Overall extremely disappointed.

A great self-catering facility
This was a lovely little complex in Sant'Angello, a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 30 minute walk/5-10' bus to Sorrento. The bus to Naples airport is a 10 minute walk away. It's in a cute little town with everything you need and a supermarket a 5 minute walk away. Our apartment was cleaned every day, the pool area was clean, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, it also felt very safe. The staff were on hand at all times to deal with any question (and I had a lot!)

Could be so much more, with just a little effort.
If you have a bad back, their beds will finish you off! No bar fridge, so forget about cool drinks and since their is no ice machine, your not chilling things that way! The front desk is open 24 hours but we found it unmanned at least 50% of he time. Breakfast was poor at best, pastries were stale and there was not much food selection. Recomend this to young students with low expectations. Awesome town, great area, close to all teh sights.... with just a little effort (and sure, a bit more cost to the traveller), this could be soooo much better. We didn't let this hotel get us down, we had an awesome time in this beauitiful area!!

Very good location, nice staff and easy and comfortable accommodation. Simple bungalow perfect for two friends who just need a comfortable bedroom and en suite for their stay. No frills but good value. Wifi in public areas good. Staff lovely and helpful. Breakfast was the only let down, just a bit over priced for what was included but overall a fantastic holiday helped considerably by the Esperidi Resort Hotel in Sant Agnello!

Decent Hotel in the suburbs
We enjoyed our stay here, the staff are very good, helpful and very friendly . The rooms were clean and it was very quiet and free from traffic noise. We purchased the 8 Euro per person breakfast buffet option, and this was good but repetitive. The buffet tended to run out of stuff if you came late, and the used tables weren't always bussed. We are normal size people. Our room was "cruise cabin size" about 3.5 meter X 3.5 meter. 2 single beds barely fitted in the room . The bathroom was a decent size but the shower was also "cruise cabin" size. Don't drop your shampoo, you will need to step out to retrieve it. If we visited again and I was staying for a longer time, I might upgrade for a larger room. There is a small patio outside each room, unfortunately at the time we visited many of the the guests were smokers so we avoided sitting outside in the fog. That's a problem with Italy in general. Although it says it's in Sorrento it's actually in St'Agnello and the rail station that is close by is one stop up the line . Not a big deal for us, and St Agnello is very nice . You can walk into Sorrento in 30 minutes or so. It's pretty flat but some cobblestones. Convenient for both Pompeii and Ercalono which are on the same rail line.

When I booked Esperidi Resort I had read all the reviews - a somewhat mixed bag - but decided to go with it as the price was so reasonable. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Our Bungalow was basic but I knew this when I booked and as I had seen photographs on their excellent website. Our room was cleaned and we were given fresh towels daily by the resorts very lovely cleaning ladies. The grounds are maintained wonderfully well by the incredibly hard working gardener. The pool is lovely (though it shuts at 6) and the poolside service is fantastic (though snacks are quite expensive considering the price of food at the restaurant next door). The view from the resort of the mountains is stunning and the orange and lemon trees throughout the resort are just gorgeous. The reception staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is hit and miss... but who is that desperate for internet when they're on holiday?! Esperidi Resort is located within 300 meters of a supermarket and the metro which is one stop to Sorrento centre or 20 to 30 minutes walk. If you are prepared to take a little stroll then you will happen across plenty of very good restaurants and other hotels with restaurants . I would definitely recommend Esperidi Resort and would absolutely stay there again myself.

Good location, but poor apartments
We had booked an apartment with a kitchenette for 2 adults and our 2 children aged 11 and 13. We were allocated a tiny apartment with one double bed and one small sofa bed for the kids to share. The bathroom smelt of bad drains. The kitchenette consisted of 2 gas rings, but no ignition, a microwave 2 metres up on the wall, a fridge and a sink. No kettle, no toaster. When we complained we were told there was nothing else, but a further complaint in the morning led to us being moved to an apartment with more space and beds for the children. Much better but should have been given this apartment on the first night.

Started off in a small uncomfortable room for two and upgraded to a larger double for extra 15 euros per night. Better quality room however the toilet system created strange noises for periods after flushing and similar noises we heard throughout the night from next door. Loved the friendly staff who were very helpful and charming. We loved the beauty and character of SantAgnello.

Relaxed environment. Very helpful staff. Small apartments surrounded by lemon/lime trees. Limited kitchen facilities but enough to get by if needed. Good swimming pool area. Good connections by bus/trains in the local area for Pompeii/Herculaneum Sorrento, Naples etc. Comfortable walk along the coast into Sorrento or one stop on the train.

We enjoyed staying here. It's a pleasant 10 minute or less walk to the train station bound for Sorrento or Pompei. The supermaket is nearby, the wifi is ok but a bit slow at times, cooking facilities in the cabin were good and we used them al lot. We'd stay here again if in Sorrento.

Perfect budget base to explore the region
The resort has a great location 5 minutes walk from the Sant Agnello Circumvesuviana station and 5 minutes the other way to the coast. Sorrento's facilities are one stop by train or a gentle half hour walk away. Our bungalow was small but had everything we needed. Pool was excellent and never overcrowded and the staff were very helpful. Great place to stay if you're on a budget and want to get around without a car.

For the price we paid, absolutely perfect location, facilities and accommodation. Highly recommended. Esperidi was popular with families, young couples and travellers wanting a hotel experience without the high price tag. Not suitable for those wanting a wild party atmosphere - perfect for us! There was easy access to Sorrento for Amalfi coast and Capri trips, and the circumvesuviana (commuter train) for Naples and Pompeii or Ercolano. A bus from the airport drops you off 10 minutes walk from the resort.

Fantastic suite.
Staff were very helpful and we were offered an upgrade to a suite which was very convenient and had a kitchenette. It was extremely stylish.Disappointing that the swimming pool is not open until May. I do not think this was evident from the booking information.The local buses were unreliable and it was 45 minute walk into Sorrento.San Agnello area is very nice and an excellent cafe bar was 5 minutes dwon the road.

Fantastic Resort!!
We absolutely fell in love with this place!! The staff is so friendly and we also took part in the cooking school and the Chef is just fantastic! She was so great and helpful and we had so much fun, by far the best cooking class we have ever been to! The resort in itself is absolutely wonderful too with lemon and orange trees everywhere, its a little paradise! The location is perfect too, nice area and super close to the city center where all the shops and restaurants are. We were very pleased with our stay and would go back!

Located very well, out of the tourist area, near the train station where you are connected to all tourist sites, beautiful view at the cliff just 5 minutes walk away. Just right for what we wanted to use as a base and visit local historical sites. Would come again.
Good public areas e.g. bar, dining area, pool,although our bungalow fairly small it was good value and given that we didnt spend much time in it this wasnt a problem. Helpful staff. Local town of Sant'Angello nice with good local restaurants and not as touristy as Sorrento. Good train links via Circumvesuviana.

Great place to stay. We found the accommodation comfortable and the breakfast was beautiful. There is easy access to Sorrento and all the places of interest in the area. The local bus stops outside the hotel. All the staff are very friendly whether they speak English or not and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is also free Wifi.

Apart from the stress of finding the hotel (perched on the middle of the hillside with no direct road access!!), this was a lovely place to stay. The family run atmosphere was very nice and everyone was very helpful. The 300 steps down from where our car was parked was fine and the staff helped us with our luggage which was excellent. There was then another 400-500 steps down into town where we'd have dinner and drinks and could access the boat trips etc. A bus service ran from town up to the road above the hotel which we took to get home and then walked down the steps again (we preferred this to walking up all those steps!!). A very pleasant, low budget (for Amalfi) place to stay.

Great staff
Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Best breakfast we had in Italy. Great pool area, really came in handy with the heat of the summer. Location convenient to bus and train, easy access to town of Sorrento. Supermarket down the street. Restaurants walkable from the hotel. Rooms are small, probably not really a three star, but the outside patio area is pleasant at night. Is is also quiet, none of the traffic noise.

Great way to visit Sorrento without spending a fortune!
Esperidi was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and the pool was great. Saint Agnello was a couple of miles out of Sorrento but its only a short hop on the bus or the metro or actually quite a nice walk (it takes about 30-40 mins) which makes you feel better about all the pizza and ice cream! We had a room with a kitchen in it which was definitely a good decision because eating out was quite expensive. There was a supermarket a few minutes up the road and the fresh fruit and veg is delicious. The only down side to the self catering was the lack of washing up items so take a cloth and washing up liquid with you. We really enjoyed our stay at Esperidi. It was great value for money and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Esperidi Resort
We paid for the cheapest room and this was evident as the room was very basic and rather small. However the rest of the resort appeared to be nice and well maintained. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Resort was a 10 minute walk to the sea and train station and a 45 minute walk into Sorrento.

A bit disappointed
When we arrived the grounds near the check in area looked really nice but beyond that the grass had not been cut in ages. We stayed in one of the bungalows. It's more like a shed. It was VERY small. We could hardly move around. We were led to believe there were kitchens in every bungalow. Not so. Not even a refrigerator. The hot water was turned off everyday during siesta time which was from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. So you come in from the pool and cannot even shower to go out. The pool was gorgeous. Big, lots of chairs but it was not heated. The pool bar was closed the entikre time we were there. Breakfast was included each morning. It was very basic. Buns, jams etc. but it served the purpose. The hotel is also quite a distance from Sorrento. You can walk to Sorrento in about 20 minutes however the sidewalks are very narrow in some areas and the traffic is horrendous. You can take the public bus for a small fee but you have to buy your ticket at one of the tobacco shops which is closed during siesta. I would not recommend the Esperidi Resort. I would suggest staying somewhere much closer to Sorrento. It is much more exciting, lots more to see, much better shopping and dining.

Hotelli lähellä juna-asemaa. Hotelli kaikinpuolin ok. Aamiainen heikohko.(ruoka loppu) huoneen sänky hajalla. Pyynnöstä huolimatta sängyn jouduimme korjaamaan itse.patja katkennut keskeltä. Siivous jäi välillä tekemättä. Pyyhkeet vietiin pois mutta uusia pyyhkeitä ei tilalle. Pyytämällä saatiin uudet pyyhkeet. WC paperia ei tuotu lisää. Pyytämällä sekin järjestyi. Respassa oli oikein mukava henkilökunta.
