This hotel was perfect for a weekend trip. It's a bit outside of Sorrento, so you can either walk 20 minutes to the city center or take a shuttle provided by the hotel. The staff were excellent, and the rooms and pool were wonderful
Our stay was the same as what I indicated on previous screen. One additional observation: The food looked nothing like that shown on Hotels.com.
However, the most disappointing part of this booking had to do with Hotels.com directly. When I cancelled and rebooked this stay with a different credit card, Hotels.com still charged me for the cancelled reservation despite the fact that they sent me a confirmation email that the original reservation was cancelled. When I challenged the charge with my credit card company, Hotels.com told the credit card company that the charge was legitimate. Why? Incompetent at best, unethical at worst.
Property was in a great location walkable to lots of great restaurants and attractions.
Cons:
Food at the property included for the meals was not great.

Very dated and tired property. Staff helpful and friendly - however we spent very little time here as there is a lot to do in the area and we didn't want to sit around the cramped pool area for long.

We were upgraded to this hotel, having booked the sister hotel . It's half way up a steep hill so not for the unfit or physically disabled. Having said that, there is a regular shuttle bus (free) into Sorrento. The hotel looks nice from the outside, and the reception area is very large and spacious, and looks to have been fairly recently refurbished. The friendly and helpful reception staff directed us to our room. What a disappointment. It looked like something out of a James Bond 1970s movie. It was very big and spacious with a huge bed but all very dated and dark. It was clean .We had a view of an iron staircase from the terrace outside the window. The bathroom was clean but old fashioned and the shower was good.
Wed been upgraded to AI so we went for the evening meal. The dining room was pleasant and the staff were lovely. The food was, ok . Nothing unpleasant but not very inspiring. The bar downstairs was old fashioned, and the entertainment was the sort you were glad when it finished. We met some really nice people to chat with.
The pool was upstairs and was nice, there was a bar up there and lunch was served there.
Overall it was ok but i don't think we would stay there again.

Property very shabby. Food okay but poorly presented. Staff seemed slighty bored by it all. Location fine, short walk to trains. Free shuttle bus into Sorrento city.

When we checked in, we were allocated one room which was musty with a double bed and a single bed when we had booked two separate rooms. We eventually were given 2 separate rooms and my friend was changed next day from the musty and healthy bedroom to a different bedroom, but it was not a good welcome. But I was polite and took it in good stead and the lady was helpful in sorting it out. The food for breakfast was very disappointing and unhealthy in today’s standards and considering it was Italy but perhaps a typical requirement for the brick.

Staff great has great potential to be a really good hotel.
-Food very dull needs more choice specially desserts and mains !
-lift very dirty
-needs modernising and money spent on it .
-rooms okay outdated
Overall great staff and they go along way not a bad hotel indeed just needs some tlc
Most friendly hotel I have ever stayed in, staff wonderful nothing was too much trouble. Although we were bed & breakfast we ate in the restuarant one evenig and by the pool bar both very good value for money. The hotel has a lived in feel but is very clean and has a certain charm about it. Even though the location is a little way out from Sorrento it is still one that I would be happy to reccomend. Station is just a 5 min walk away and there is a shuttle bus from the hotel. There is a great wine bar in the centre of town near the church sorry can't think of the name, if you are eating out then sorrento is best place. Dont miss going over to Capri. Enjoy
We did not originally book this hotel, we were relocated here by Expedia as our original accommodation fell through upon arrival.
We had some issues checking in, as we arrived at his hotel at 3:30am. However, despite this, our stay was great. The staff were lovely, specifically the female manager. She was extremely apologetic and accommodating. We had breakfast there for 3 mornings, there is a good selection of pastries, pancakes and hot food to which you can help yourself.
Our room had a small balcony overlooking the pool which was a nice addition.
The only downside was that this hotel was a 25 minute walk, up hill from the main square, and a 40 minute walk, up hill from the marina.
Was not a problem for us, as we are a young couple in our early 20s, but would not recommend for anyone who struggles with hills or cobbled streets.
Overall, a pleasant stay.
For work and my birthday, I booked a trip to Italy. It was my first time in the country. 17 hours and hauling my luggage to the resort in the rain, I was so happy to arrive to the hotel. Then it all goes left.
FABIANO…the short male at the concierge desk is absolutely rude. After I was given the key to my room, I always do a security check with windows and doors especially b/c I’m a solo female traveler. The Juliette balcony door would not stay closed. I told the front desk. The maintenance man came. I didn’t feel comfortable and asked for a different room. They brought me to a room in what felt like a basement (from the window, I can see that we were below street level). I told FABIANO I didn’t like that room either. He got upset, raised his voice at me, berated me, and asked “what’s my problem?!” Keep in mind, I’ve only been there about 15 minutes at this point. I was in disbelief in how he spoke to me. I asked him why is he upset and getting loud with me. I told the manager Antonella (who is fantastic), and she asked him about his behavior and he said he never spoke to me in a raised voice or disrespectfully. He lied right in front of my face. He made my stay so uncomfortable, I would never return. I’ve never been treated so badly in all my years of traveling. Idk if he’s racist, misogynist, or just a terrible person, but if you’re a solo woman or a minority, take heed.
Aside from that, Ants greeted me my first morning. Found blonde hair all over the white sheets.

Boa experiencis.
