"Everything was clean and in good condition. Recently redecorated in a contemporary style. No real complaints other than the thin walls. I could literally hear every word of the conversation next door; not that I wanted to! They provide earplugs upon arrival so it’s apparently a frequent complaint. $20 for parking seemed steep considering you couldn’t directly access the building due to construction taking place."

"Royal Copenhagen Inn has become our go to place when we stay in Solvang twice a year. Our room is spacious and comfortable with two easy chairs and a desk. When weather is good, we sit outside on the sheltered balcony and people watch. The sheets are soft as are the four generous pillows and if you need extra towels, as I always do, they are happy to provide. Breakfast is dropped at your door every morning. Depending on what you check off, expect two hard boiled eggs(and peeled) eggs, yogurt, two cheese sticks and a large Danish pastry as well as canned orange juice and tea or coffee. I appreciate the shower includes a floor mat so you don't need to worry about it being slippery and the hair dryer does an excellent quick job. The Inn's location is perfect! Turn right, cross the street and dine at Osteria Grapolo for excellent Italian. Turn left and walk to the end of the park into Fitzpatrick's Tavern for good pub fare. Lots of good restaurants all around. For shopping a must is Fairy & Frog, where you walk into an enchanted wonderland of figurines, hair wreaths, enough rocks and crystals to stock a lapidary shop, dragon figures of all sizes, decks of affirmation cards and if you want to buy something for a child you are so, so lucky! I also enjoy Pickett Fences across and down a bit from the Inn and the newish SYV Thrift Shop at the corner of Mission and First Street, near Fitzpatrick's. It benefits local nonprofits like Meals on Wheels and is a treasure chest of finds."

"This was an amazing place other than the construction happening while I was there. They were never loud but it took away from the ambiance. "

"I stayed overnight at the Sideways Inn and was very pleased with my experience there. The room (I stayed in Room 234 where Miles and Jack stayed) was clean and the property was well maintained. I was given a $12 food/drink voucher for Sideways Lounge which I used for 2 free drinks. The location was great and in walking distance to both AJ Spurs and the Hitching Post II (both featured in the movie Sideways). The staff were adequate though not very friendly and breakfast consisted of coffee and a donut, so nothing special. I stayed at the hotel after visiting numerous filming sites for the movie. Overall I was very pleased with Buellton and the Sideways Inn and would highly recommend the hotel."

"Construction remodeling added dust, debris. No ice machines on floors. In the bathroom the light turned on automatically on a motion sensor—annoying in the middle of the night. The shower lost hot water half way through. Staff was friendly and attentive."
