We stayed at this absolutely special place in late September when the weather was perfect. The setting right on the Tyrrhenian sea is extraordinary and has been a vacation destination since the time of the romans. La Posta Vecchia was originally built in the 17th century and updated by J. Paul Getty in the 60s when it served as his personal home. It unlike any place we have ever stayed, and the extraordinary staff, food and easy access to central Italy made it one of the most relaxing destinations ever. We did day trips through Italy but were always ready to return for a swim and such wonderful food that we never wanted to dine elsewhere. incredibly special place. "
