Highly recommend.
This hotel is amazing value. It's got views of the sea from the terrace, the breakfast is really good - scrambled eggs with bacon, sausages, cold cuts, 3 different types of bread for toast, fresh tomato, plenty of pastries, espresso as well as americano coffee. The room was cozy, nicely decorated, and the bed comfy. Couldn't have been happier.

We found the hotel very nice but in needing quite a number of repairs. We had a cracked sink broken blinds in the bathroom. Bathroom not very clean. curtain rail in bedroom hanging off the wall. Dinning area very characterful but exsesive mould and damp on the walls and ceiling and very cold. Breakfast was poor and some of the pre packed products where out of date. We had to keep asking for the heating to be put on in the room. The staff where lovely and only to willing to help. We loved the character if the hotel it just needs some TLC.

Sardinero Gem!
Perfectly located to enjoy the beach area of Sardinero & approximately a 35min walk/10 minute cab ride to the old centre of Santander.Very clean & comfortable large family run guest house.Rooms 104 & 103 were tidy & beds were comfortable if a little noisy being on the ground floor.Bathroom was very clean with a powerful rain shower.Room had an Iron & teas made.Breakfast was continental and we were warmly welcomed by the friendly & interesting owner Jesus.English is spoken & I would highly recommend this property for a beachside stay.

Overall things were cozy and comfortable. The only issue was our room was on the main floor right next to the reception so it was a little noisy in the morning and shower door wouldn't open completely so it was a bit of a squeeze for us to get in. But other than that it was a great stay and experience

The room was quaint, but it was very small. It was very hard to stand in the bathroom and close the door to the bathroom. Also, the faucet on the sink was basically just dangling there. It was a fine room and I wasn't uncomfortable, but I probably would not stay there again.

This is a very nice little hotel, literally a stone’s throw to the beach (Sardineros, but also very close to Camellos and Magdalena). I was in room 103, so main building and my experience was more like a bed and breakfast as there’s quite a lot of people traffic (footfall) noise from the corridors. But I am not a light sleeper, so it didn’t bug me. The breakfast was nice - I like it that you can buy a coffee and/or a coffee and a snack and pay a fair price. Very nice touch to have beach towels available. My bedroom was small, but for 1 person it’s ok. It’s a double bed so I don’t know if they would put a couple in. Bathroom also quite small but great water pressure. The only quibble I had was staff didn’t speak a lot of English - fine for me as I get by, but I can see this could be problematic. Also they weren’t very knowledgeable of things like bus schedules (I don’t mean specifics, but one of the reception ladies told me no bus running to the station on Saturday at 7am (which wasn’t true). Little things like those matter. But overall it was a very nice place.

Hidden gem
This hotel is underrated..very near the beach..walking distance to restaurants.grocers, they have added a gorgeous new breakfast room in the basement area that is not to be missed.all rooms have their own personality and charm. All tastfully decorated..if you have stayed before..you May want to put in a request for your 'special ' room.

El hotel es muy bonito y acogedor. La ubicación y la vista es perfecta para el precio pagado. Los empleados son todos muy atentos. Mi única queja es el mal olor que proviene de la tubería de los baños, es sin duda muy desagradable.

This is an old-fashioned quirky, quaint hotel with lots of character such as antique furniture and chandeliers. A reasonable buffet breakfast is available for 8 euros. The hotel is well located with a lovely long beach nearby and is a good 20-30 minute walk into town (alongside the beach into the harbour and port). There are a few bars and restaurants nearby and Santander is a good starting point to travel to other towns and villages by bus, train or ferry. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and would do anything to help.

We loved being a block away from the beach! The breakfast was perfect for our needs. This hotel needs updating but it’s the little things that could make a huge impact. For example, our refrigerator was broken, the hair dryer didn’t work, knobs fell off the drawers when opened. But overall, the proximity to the beach made it perfect for us!

Small hotel easily reachable from airport via airport bus and then either a 30 minute walk or 10 minute bus journey. Beaches are less then 200 meters away. The area is quiet but has a range of cafes/bars etc within 200 meters. Would definitely use again.

Not great stay
No lift stair carpet loose and dangerous and no one seemed to care about that. If boutique means buying lots of old pictures and putting them on walls then this is boutique!!! Not impressed at all and cannot even think of what would have happened if there had been emergency with the stairs so dangerous.

Boutique hotel in Santander near to the sea..
Very clean and comfortable small hotel in a residential area. Across (a quiet) road to the beautiful promenade in the resort part of Santander. We could hear the sea from our room during the night - lovely! It was 'out of season' so, may be noisier in the summer. Had a good welcome - though information given about the local area (where to eat, bus travel etc.) was incorrect as many restaurants were closed for the season. We did not take breakfast at the hotel but at a beach bar nearby (we enjoyed the views over the beautiful beach and sea in the warm morning sunshine). There is a bus stop nearby with direct (& frequent) travel into the City centre (& main hospital). You can buy a TUS card from any Tabac and top it up - very good service and cheap travel. We enjoyed staying in this area and at this hotel - a good tonic to the main hospital where we were visiting a friend in intensive care several times a day.

Gorgeous boutique hotel
2 mins from the beach and promenade. From the entrance through to your room this place is fun, interesting and gorgeous. Walls covered with original artwork. Modern bathroom while the rest of the room is antique. Desk is always I winner for me. Double bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast cost me a little extra but was excellent with warm omelette and plenty of cold foods to select. Internet worked well except one stormy night. I had four nights here. I really enjoyed Santander beaches on both sides of the port. Taxi ride is about 10 mins from train/bus station. Or just walk following the port around to the main beach and you are there in 40 mins.

Good position and that's it!
Just left this hotel. We are a family of 4, we had 2 rooms one with the spiral staircase to a second room. 1st room was tiny! Bed was tiny! Bathroom was tiny! You could hardly sit on the toilet and I am only 5.4 and a size uk10 (average size) also it was leaking a sewage smell that we reported to reception but it wasn't rectified! We stayed here for 5 days and I couldn't wait to leave! Paid €160 per night! Way overpriced and I wouldn't recommend it!

i loved this hotel! it's warm and welcoming with restored antique design throughout. great breakfast. just across the street from a beautiful beach. best shower ever (stayed in superior double room for a treat). my only one minor complaint would be that the walls are thin and could hear peaple moving about in the mornings. definitely recommend and definitely going back!!

Beach is literally across the road!!! Lovely Spot!
We had a lovely room..small by hotel standards but beautifully decorated. The staff were lovely. Beach is literally a minutes walk from the hotel. Very quirky little additions to the room and the decor..if you like a hotel that is not the bog standard type this will really appeal to you..we were charmed by it! Would def stay here again if we return to Santander..a great find! Great value too!

Relaxing getaway hotel
Las Brisas Hotel is situated a short walk (5 mins) from the beautiful beaches of El Sardinero. There are lots of good value restaurants and bars in the area - all nearby. There is a regular bus service to the city centre where there are several museums, a busy shopping and restaurant area. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful with directions to amenities in the area. Our room, though small, was clean and serviced daily. The decor is very traditional and pretty - a nice change from the hotel chain look. There was a good breakfast buffet each morning with something for all tastes. We would recommend this hotel and would love to go back again!

Subpar in paradise
While the location is excellent and the staff friendly and accomodating, the hotel itself is badly rundown. The rooms are very small and in urgent need of updating. The bathrooms are especially tight and uncomfortable. There were only sheer curtains on the bathroom window that was located inside the bathtub and looked out onto a back courtyard and street. We were forced to improvise a makeshift curtain by hanging a towel as best we could in order to shower. The towels themselves were very small, thin and rough (fortunately, the staff was good about giving us more of them when we asked). The outward appearance of the hotel is poor. The property is in dire need of painting and maintenance. The small terrace area at the entrance was not well kept and the garden furiture found there was in a poor state of repair (broken legs and armrests). There was a strong mildew smell that was quite unpleasant at first.

Very friendly and efficient staff.
Very friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is a couple of minutes stroll from the beach and if you get a room with a sea view, it is great. The manager is a hoot, knows London better than I do! The rooms are very small but clean. Usual help yourself buffet breakfast. The only real criticism I have is that the fixings, both electrical and water, leave a lot to be desired! To get a kettle to work one had to jiggle the plug around in the socket and as the socket wasn't fixed properly to the wall there was quite a lot of movement around a loose electrical fitting. Not too good! The shower looked really swish, a big metallic contraption with lots of jets and knobs and two shower heads to choose from. Again, this was not fixed to the wall and swung dangerously when touched. Plus, of course, only one shower head functioned and that was with hardly any force. So, apart from those criticisms, it isn't too bad a place.
