"Miguel at the bar was our main server and he was a big help. The meals at the restaurant were lovely - excellent view of the ocean. Food was great. Converting euros to CND$ makes it all feel quite expensive. But we felt overall that the value equation was there compared to other European destinations. Rooms were great, kept clean by cleaning staff. One recommendation is to invest in a larger TV for the Bar area. Watching the world cup on a 48 inch screen was somewhat comical. Great location as it was a short drive to Pont Delgado and the Santa Barbara Beach. Lovely stay. Want to return to the Azores soon."

"Rooms are clean and spacious enough. The staff is super friendly and helpful they were all so awesome with the kids. Staff is very attentive and if you have any issues they do their best to have it taken care of right away. Location is very convenient to everything g walking distance to town restaurants and drives are also pretty central to both ends of the island. Overall had a perfect stay and look forward to coming back!"

"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Ponta Delgado. The room was clean and the bed very large. The pool and hot tub is probably the hotel's greatest asset - along with the staff who were very friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay there and very close to the town centre too. At an affordable price we were very happy to spend 5 days. The breakfast area is very clean and we enjoyed breakfast but could do with a bit of a facelift. It has the feel of a canteen rather than hotel breakfast area and some love and attention would benefit it. We loved the pancake machine! Would have liked to take it home. All in all a great hotel and very useful for seeing the rest of the city and the wonderful island."

"It was well situated, so close to the city that we could easily walk to different restaurants, car rental, excursions and sights to visit. It cost 5 euros per day to park our car in the hotel’s parking lot that was operated with a closed door so no risk of vandalism. You could also come and go all day. The pool and area was really cleaned and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I like that they had a bowl at the entrance full of complimentary apples every day. The only negative think I could say was the mattress in our suite with the king size bed. It was not think enough so I could feel the springs on one side. I asked to change the mattress or put a mattress topper but they couldn’t help. We are breakfast there every morning and it was just perfect to start our day with a lot of variety from hot to cold. We ate lunch just once at the hotel and it was good, but the rest of the time ate elsewhere since we had a lot of variety. The dinner they were serving was buffet style and opened only at 7pm which was too late for us."
