About this property
4 Bed in Saxmundham (oc-oth)
Exuding charm, this 19th-century property in Dunwich is a great space for families and friends to gather together. Boasting access to the beach, woodland and heath within a mile of your doorstep, rest assured there is plenty to keep you occupied during a stay with a network of picturesque pathways to explore between the three.
The heart of this holiday home is the wide-open kitchen/diner with a fantastic, exposed, brick fireplace filling one wall. Beams sit above the characterful farmhouse-style dining table, while the L-shaped kitchen fittings offer plenty of space to prepare a feast. Two of the three bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, both of which are twins with one benefitting from the use of an en-suite shower room. The living room is a lovely place to relax, located on the first floor and boasting stylish windows and dark exposed beams nodding to the property’s heritage. Three comfortable sofas, a bookshelf and a TV offer entertainment for all to be enjoyed on evenings at your holiday home. Also upstairs is the final bedroom, a delightful double with neutral decor. Finally, the fourth bedroom can be found on the second floor with dual-aspect windows and a vaulted ceiling. At the back of the property, you’ll find a pretty garden area filled with greenery and seating areas where you can make the most of the sunshine.
Less than half a mile away is the Dunwich River which you can wander beside for a tranquil afternoon to get to know the local area. Bird lovers will relish the opportunity to visit RSPB Minsmere (4 miles) to spot rare wildlife above the head and low on the ground in this incredibly diverse area. You could also spend a day in the idyllic seaside location of Southwold (9 miles), where colourful beach huts, a lighthouse and a golden stretch of beach await a day out which is sure to please all guests.
