"The building is old (!), so the rooms are high ceiling and large. The decoration is highly original and eclectic. Our room was ready on time and well appointed and clean and comfortable. We dined in on our first night. The meal wassail good and tasty, although there was a limited menu not he night. ..."

"The hotel was very comfortable and relaxing. We had a lovely big room with a gorgeous shower. But the stand out element was the food. 9 Sep 2019Quite tired. Mostly charity shops, estate agents and hairdressers. One charming little art gallery with a delightful owner who was very helpful. No pubs apart the The Bell which has gone from hotel to a pub with rooms! Very disappointing

15 Jun 2019Whilst we didn't actually visit Saxmundham town, we did have a very pleasant look around Southwold and Aldeburgh as well as Snape Maltings. Very pleasant part of Suffolk
