"We did not receive the check-in details via e-mail so could not check in and ultimately not stay overnight. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. "A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

"We have stayed here on a number of times and it just seems to keep getting better each time, the site has been set out to give a level of privacy to each pod, the pods are well equipped and the amount of wildlife is perfect, it can be a bit flyie between may and September, but there are a number of things put in place to reduce this along with fly screen ect, the BBQ fire pits make sitting out on a evening a must, the site is handedly placed for visits to York and elvington air museum."
