"If you are looking to stay close to Kern River, Lake Isabella, or the Trail of 100 giants, this is your go to place. It is conveniently located close to all 3 places. A convenience store with lots of helpful supplies is just a few steps away and there are lots of places to go enjoy the cool water during the hot days just a few minutes drive away or walking distance. Anthony, the host, was super friendly. The whole process was quick and easy. Anthony was super responsive and their home was fully equipped, comfortable, and clean. This was a very last minute weekend getaway with the kids and they all enjoyed their stay. We would definitely consider staying here again!"

Idyllic Home in Kernville w/ Private Beach Access

Idyllic Home in Kernville w/ Private Beach Access

10/10 Excellent
"After a lifetime of camping in Campground 3 at the Kern River, I decided to ditch the tent and rent a property to stay at as temps were expected to be over 100 degrees during my stay. What a game changer that decision was! The air conditioning was a life saver (especially for my 1-1/2 year old grandson). The full kitchen was a dream to prepare and cook meals in. The beds were comfortable, and being able to take a nice, cool shower after being out on the river felt heavenly. Some of my adult children, for nostalgias sake, decided to stay in the campground despite the heat. This beautiful place accommodates up to 6 adults, so when they needed a break & to cool down, we were able to continue visiting in the comfort of the living room. It was wonderful to only be a little over a mile from their campground so it didn’t feel like we were too separated. Because of the extreme heat, we didn’t go walking down to the private beach on the river, play ping pong outside or try the hot tub. But if I’m able to do this trip again during a cooler part of the year I will definitely be doing those things too! The general store was just a short walk around the corner from us & served a nice breakfast and a refreshing cold brewed coffee with various flavors & cream foam if you wanted. Our host also stopped by to collect our trash while they turned over the adjacent property & to make sure everything was going well for us. All in all, staying here was the best money I could have spent on this trip"
