"Rio Art Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Setúbal. It is clean, creative in its art and design, and modern. It is close to the downtown area of restaurants and shops. Our room was big, light and comfortable. A welcome drink, a small bottle of wine in our room was a nice touch as well. Breakfast was just outside our door, delicious and varied. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Kind, helpful, and welcoming. We loved our 2-day stay and highly recommend it. "

"Stayed here just one night en route from Lisbon airport to Lagos. We had flown overnite from Canada. Very clean, a bit Spartan, but functional for a one night stop. Staff was friendly and helpful - spoke excellent English. Property was smallish, but a nice little oasis in an industrial area. Has a pool (January - we didn't use it) and a nice covered porch area. Very pleasant."

"The room was very spacious and had a great view. We only were disappointed in lack of professionalism in staff. At the breakfast, we found the young employees hogging a coffee machine, chitchatting. No regard to guests who paid for the breakfast, not as a part of their fringe benefits (I am assuming that staff can eat the same breakfast as guests at this hotel?). Only driveway to the parking was extremely steep and scary. A lot of water damage in the room and building. Very awkward building structure (“new” addition to the existing building?). Overall, it was a pretty nice experience except the young employees prioritizing their breakfast needs over paying guests."
