"We had a great time! It was our first time bringing the family pet on a trip and the screen porch with a door that locked was a life saver. We enjoyed walking the area, using the playground and seeing the ducks and croc’s at the pond. We saw plenty of wild life. My boys didn’t want to leave!"

"Beautiful spot right on the river. Very clean and modern. Never did use the hot tub or the kayaks/canoe but they were nice to have and in good working order. I will say that the concrete ramp from the bank to dock probably would be a little difficult for some to handle. We had no problems on our end so just food for thought. Gary was a great host and extremely responsive and we would definitely stay here again.!"

"This was by far our favorite vacation. The yurt was beautiful and the scenery was spectacular. We had everything we needed for a relaxing honeymoon. One mention for future guests planning their trips, this is NOT a party place. If you’re looking to have a lot of drinks and sleep in, you won’t. The skylight will have you up at the crack of dawn, and if that doesn’t work the cows will. This is for people who are looking to go on hiking adventures, enjoy the sunrise in the hot tub with some coffee, and cuddle up on rainy days."
Riverfront Shenandoah Getaway w/ Kayaks & Tubes!

"We enjoyed the house. As others have said there is only one king size bed. The tubes and kayaks were a lot of fun. Ropes were provided to tie together in the river. As was a small air compressor to add air to tubes. The host responded to questions very quickly. The cottage could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. Overall, we had a great time and would come back."

"One of the best VRBO places we have stayed. Very comfortable, clean and whimsical. Even though there is another cabin close by, it still felt private. The only disappointment was that the luggage lift was not working. We would definitely stay here again."

"This was our second stay at the Hobbit House, and it was just what we needed. All we did was relax on the screened-in porch, relax in the hot tub, and relax watching movies. It was perfect in every way. The Hobbit House was spotlessly clean, comfy, cozy, and just a delight to visit. Will definitely want to stay again/100"

"Ideal property for some peace and relaxation. The host provides just about everything you need to enjoy the outdoor space and water. The upstairs AC was not working the 1st night of our stay, but Jeff was awesome in addressing."
