"Sh shops were really close by. It’s a really great location by the SOG temple. There is a lot to see and doing in the area. The hotel is beautiful and we had a view of the pagoda from our window. Not sure which train station is close by though, but the hotel was just awesome free drinks at certain times including alcohol."

"Rooms were kept in the best shape with all the modern conveniences you could ask for. Showers had great water pressure! Morning breakfast was wonderful with good variety of both Japanese and Western tastes. Staff were very professional and helpful. They helped when we didn't speak the best of Japanese when we stumbled over our pronunciation. There was a good mix of travelers passing through from all over. The train museum is just steps from the hotel, there's a Family Mart on the first floor and JR Train station also just steps away. It was 1 stop from Kyoto station so there is no reason to stay anywhere else with such a convenient location. "
